If Walker is interested we should offer £15k pw top whack seehow interested he is, he'd be good in the Championship, but we're not a pension top up for old blades

Id like to think Walker has made enough money now and wants to play one season with the blades as his home team. And wages not being his motivation, Come home Kyle and get the send off you deserve Once a Blade always a Blade

Tanganga is on £35k a week, if we can offload him we might be getting close to being able to afford Walker then add a young Premier League defender on loan
Did he have a decent game against Ipswich, Cov, Hull or Southampton this season?

Not saying he didn't and he was the best player for us at times especially the 1-0 home loss vs Millwall, it could have been 3 or 4 if it wasn't for Tanganga. The reason why I signalled him out is due to the wage he is on and we have him for another 2 seasons and with it being a "significant fee" we paid to Millwall this will be still due and amortised for accounting purposes over the next 2 seasons on top of his £35,000 a week wage. The only other one that you would consider freeing up is McGuinness due to his salary being £25,000 although he was another large fee purchase it is over 4 years and realistically if it came down to it we would be more likely to be able to sell/have more buyers for Tanganga over McGuinness. We probably do need Hamer to depart anyway but to bring the wage bill down one of these has to go too before we can start at looking at permanent signings.

Zätterström and Polendakov although unlikely to make the squad, they aren't going to help Squad Ratio Rules any time soon.

I think we will be trying very hard to shift Tanganga this off season.
Wolves and Wrexham have both shown an interest in the past and wouldn't surprise me if West Ham had a look if they lose a few defenders.

Well first off i dont think hes coming so you can substitute Tanganga for him in the imaginary back 4 with McGuiness on the bench. However if Walker did come Tanganga wd join McGuiness as backup as I dont see anyone signing him.

Given the new financial rules the only likely defence upgrade is a big dominant CB to replace McGuiness. If that doesn't happen then we go with the same players as last year with the same defensive chaos.
Well , that's honest at least ,
And I used to love watching the Keystone Cops 🤣

My hope was that he played fantastic against any of them to encourage them to stick an offer in. There's many on here that felt we went in for Tanganga specifically because he bossed our players last season.

I'm always amazed that posters know the infinite details of player's contracts.
The base figures are posted on several sites, you don't know about signing on fees, agent fees and bonuses but you can take and educated guess on the ball park figure, I usually look at several sites and take an educated guess https://www.capology.com/club/sheffield-united/salaries/ gives a good clue to start with and when you read articles that say he has had a £10k a week pay increase and was on £25K a week at Millwall it gives another clue as to the base level. The true ins and outs of contracts aren't going to be public just like mine or yours aren't for work but you can get a rough idea from some research.

Problem with this thread is that Burnley will want a fee for him! They are not going to let him go to a competitor in the same division for free. They will not care about any sentiment. I think that will kill this stone dead for us.
