Kyle walker

No doubt he'd be OK at championship level for a year or two, but we need to be realistic on wages. I can just see Wilder down on his knees ( like clough to Taylor in the damned united) begging him to come home " we can do it together Kyle, me and you, then you can take over as manager", " me and you Kyle!🙏

How I hope this rumour isn't true.
Yet more Bladey nonsense.
The fact that we could have had the England back 3 - Walker , Maguire & JoC - in some sort of fantasy time-warp - is just pollution in the brain.
If we can get him on realistic wage, then it would make total sense, he could help bring seriki on even more and mentor him.

Having seriki learn from one of the best full backs in recent times would be excellent for us and himself. He would also bring experience and make pur squad better overall, whilst also being able to play as a rcb in a 3 (if we change to that). We also need competition in that area of the pitch.

As someone mentioned earlier combination of seriki & walkers at rcb should be tasty to see if we go back to 3 at back and overlapping and if not just having him competing with seriki should make that right side 1 less thing to worry about.

well i hope this rumour is true would be a great addition to our squad think he will play rcb in a back 3 next season and will free seriki to bomb forward on the right

But Rosen wants Billy Sharp as manager.
Walker would have to be Defence Coach.
And he isn't really management material , now is he ?
I mean ,
Dancing on pub tables and singing about sausage rolls is in thing ,
But ,
waving your impressive knob around in public is quite beyond the pale ,
Wouldn't you say ?

As long as he's ex blades it doesn't matter what he does

Burnley fan I met today through work reckons Kyle Walker will be released at end of season by mutual consent (he’s on a 2 year deal there apparently with a get out clause on relegation). He reckons he’s already talked to Wilder - and likely to be new Captain - on a 1 year deal. Maybe complete tosh….. and I’ve not met him before - but ge certainly seems to know his stuff regarding Burnley. Also reckons Scott Parker is leaving too - also already agreed.
Scott Parker departure confirmed.

I don't know how good he'll be. Logic says, the guy has won everything domestically a few times over. An experienced international... he should piss it in tier 2.

But so much of his game relied on being absolutely rapid, which he seemingly isn't anymore.
Unlike others, I quite like all the Bladey Bladey stuff, so happy to give it a go on the right terms.

Re: sacking of Scott Parker. Can't help but feel that's an error. He has his faults, but he's proven that, with a big budget, he can do the business in the Championship.
I'd have kept him and then got rid next Summer regardless of outcome.

Wonder if Thomas Frank will go to Burnley or might go to Brum. Be nice to get him here but Wilders bed blocking

As back up/rotation to Femi at his age I can't see him being too bad and option albeit I have to admit I can't remember watching any of Burnley this season!

His many public statements saying he wants it will likely mean wages won't be a driver in this....so are we likely to get better for cheaper? Unlikely

If you lose Hamer you could always push Femi to right wing where he started and have Brooks wide left.

Thomas Frank isn’t coming to the championship. Think Frank might get the Palace job. I think Burnley will go for Gerrard

He's streets ahead of Seriki, but unless he signs on peanut wages we aren't allowed care home forcex blades to sit on the bench

I’m not sure about this one. Players who once had lightning pace often don’t have an Indian summer in their career. Billy Sharp never had pace, but had built a career that worked around his limitation so knew how to cope with age. Walker is very different.

Also if he’s expensive, right back should the lowest priority for a splurge.

In a word: Shit

Say he's not worked out at all and he's probably finished. This was a few months ago though
Just exchanged texts with a friend who is a Burnley fan. He says Kyle is still fit and strong but it has gone too much for him playing in one of the two weakest team in the PL and seemed to have lost the fire in his belly a few months ago. He will be fine with us in the Championship.
