Hahahahahahaha as if any of out fans thought we'd sign a decorated Premier League player, we can't even get deals over the line for players that are currently registered to a team in the prem equally as shit as we were. I've never laughed as much at a link.
 
Burnley fan I met today through work reckons Kyle Walker will be released at end of season by mutual consent (he’s on a 2 year deal there apparently with a get out clause on relegation). He reckons he’s already talked to Wilder - and likely to be new Captain - on a 1 year deal. Maybe complete tosh….. and I’ve not met him before - but ge certainly seems to know his stuff regarding Burnley. Also reckons Scott Parker is leaving too - also already agreed.

No issues with that either. I think making Tanganga captain was a huge mistake. Just seems to have a whiney character rather than the experience and leadership we’ve needed.

Walker has huge experience, but like any player he’d need to be playing full games for at least 75% of the season. Would we get that out of Walker now?

Yeah that’s my concern - he ticks loads of boxes but he’s 36 years old this summer….. has to be a concern - even if his salary is affordable for us at this stage of his career.

Walker on the right with Tanganga plus 1 other (left-footed) in a back 3, Seriki and Burrows bombing forward. Walker then gets an England recall and gets to add to his 96 caps.

Can't say I've watched any of Burnley this season, how's he been?

He's played in 32/34 (94%) of Burnleys games in the Premier League this season (was suspended for one of the two he missed).

Yeah no issues with that, but more games in the championship and another year older.

It’s more about what I expect from a Captain

I’d presume he’d be affordable, we’ve had a tonne of players who’ve been affordable but not value for games played. We need to avoid that as much as possible

Would’ve been an asset a couple of seasons ago. Now I’d be hesitant
 
would be good on a 2 year deal and i think this one will come off and certainly wouldnt suprise me if he was made captain actually think he would be ideal as rcb in a back 3 if wilder decided to go with that system agree it would definetly benefit seriki as rwb

Say he's not worked out at all and he's probably finished. This was a few months ago though
