Kyle Walker

Why do a lot of our fans see SUFC as a rest home for ex players retirement. Looking at last night he is done at top level so will be looking for a best last pay day to service his woman debts. It a big NO from me.
Why do a lot of our fans think we are playing at the top level? There's a massive difference between international and the elite level of top flight football that Kyle has been playing at, compared with ourselves. Have you forgotten 2023/24?

Agreed. The Senegal attackers last night would give most prem full backs a run for their money. There are no attackers like that in the Championship.

Gerrrrrrrrimmmmmmmin !

Nah mate, he'll be back for Jan ;)

🙏

If achilles injuries cleared up that cleanly without impacting performance, I would guess that Egan would still be at the club. If Souttar is somehow able to get back to anywhere near the level he showed before his injury it's going to take a long, long time - I certainly wouldn't be in for him before he's proven his recovery.

Could probably still do a job at a mid to lower PL team as well.

He might not have the pace anymore, but he's got tons of valuable experience that would be welcomed at a lot of clubs.

Easily the best/most successful player to come out of the city of Sheffield.
He hasn’t got his old pace anymore, and is getting found out by quicker players. I suspect he still has phenomenal amounts of pace left, enough for the championship.

At Championship level there won't be any quality players quicker than him. The only players who might be quicker than him will be the "speed boat with a broken rudder" sorts who have the pace but not the footballing skills to be any good.

We need our back four sorting before Jan.

And there’s no definite return from an Achilles tear to the same level as before.

Statistically 25% of athletes never return to the same level they weee at previously after Achilles surgery so we absolutely should not be waiting and hoping on Souttar regardless of how good he was previously.

Missing Souttar until January would be just as costly as missing him after it this season. Ie it cost us goals and points.

Fortunately for us all, I don't purchase the players so I don't think we need to worry too much about my predictions/wishes :)

I think if we had got promoted there would've been an outside chance of him coming back. But with the World Cup on the horizon there's no chance he'll play in the Championship next season. Would pretty much end his international career.

He probably ended it last night.

We are bad then are we ?
I know youre a clown but what sort of response is that. 92 points from an almost blank sheet in one season, introducing players like Arblaster, Peck, Burrows and Cooper into the team, is bad. ? Just carry on your crusade to get rid of CW and bring Utd down if it makes you feel good.

I’ve said a few times but if we are serious If we get up, then throw Walker and Maguire in there and that back 5 with Anel, Burrows and Cooper looks serviceable.

With Arblaster, Peck, Souza, Hamer, Davies, you have some decent options already not forgetting O’Hare too. I can imagine is moving to 4-3-3 and having an extra body in midfield like Wilder had before.

It’s not a blank slate. There is something to work with.

Even up front, I can imagine Campbell could surprise a few. He’s a very clinical finisher.
Isn’t Maguire on about £150k or more a week though? He’s still good enough to warrant a move to a West Ham/Everton type club

At least he's not coming here, pace was his main attribute but he's absolutely finished physically and was woeful for Man City last season. Should have gone abroad where he wouldn't get exposed every week as he'll be a total liability in the PL unless he can reinvent himself as a different kind of player.
