He cheats on the playing field & he cheats in real life ....
Sounds like a proper stand up geezer ....
Wish people on here would climb out of the lads Ass hole
Yea he was best full back in country ....so what ? How did that benefit Sheffield United ?
What's any of that got to do with whether or not he's a blade?

You could be a murdering sex offender from Mars - if you support Sheffield United you're a blade.

Nothing .
Im not sure how big a Blade he is , it's difficult to quantify.
He's done nothing to convince me either way ...

I don't care how "big" a blade he is. He's a blade. He supports Sheffield United. That's why other Sheffield United fans like him.

Meeting him at Stevenage away convinced me he genuinely cares about the club.

The one thing I couldn't understand on Sunday was the lack of comment regarding the 'head butt' or lack of .head butt' by the pundits after the game. I might have missed them but nothing was said on MOTD - it makes me think there's nothing wrong with it in their eyes. We've all seen play acting but that was embarrassingly obvious and surely deserved some criticism.

yes he was out of order and embarrased himself sunday but this playacting nonsense goes on in the premier league every week and will continue until var take post match action and start banning players for 3 games
Gibbs White was a disgrace with us in this respect and it cost us. I don’t think wilder would condone such “gamesmanship”.

MOTD put up Hojlund's "the oscar goes to" post and said it was embarrassing and Keane on Sky layed into him for it.

In reality, most players will understand that they are told or encouraged to do things like that by their managers.

How many times have Basham, Sharp etc fallen over under the slightest contact?

I accept there are levels, and Walker's was particularly pathetic, but everyone is at it at every level of football.

Individuals should be condemned, but nowt will change until retrospective bans are given out. Most people already want this to happen, just needs to be implemented.

People need to get off their ridiculous moral high grounds here! Last weekend he was an idiot in a high octane local derby …. He behaved like too many players now in the Premier League trying to trick the ref to gain an unfair advantage……so what???

I’d sign him in a heartbeat in the January window if he’d come to us. It’s a no brainer!

Got sent off with a second yellow for diving didn't he?, can't remember who we were playing that day though.

pundits go on all the time about players diving in the box for penalties but never utter a word about blatant cheating by feigning injury in other areas of the pitch just to get opponents sent off var should be looking at this aspect every game like i said in an earlier post start giving cheats retrospective 3 match bans for this behaviour and you will soon cut it out

I've said this for a while. Even in open play when there's a high boot players will go down like they've been karate kicked in the head then the replay shows there's no contact or it hit their shoulder, or players have their ankle clipped but they'll go down holding their knee because it makes the challenge look higher. It's all an attempt to deceive the referee with the hope of him brandishing cards.

Like you say they should be able to apply retrospective bans for blatant cheating but I guess the danger is where is the cut off point without putting every reaction to a tackle under a microscope?

I definitely support the idea of retrospective bans for diving and simulation. Right now there are too many players who think it's worth a try if all they have to fear worst case is a yellow card.
The chance of a 3 match ban will make them think about it twice. Of course, there will always be players who just can't help themselves. Just like there are still players diving for a penalty even with VAR.

By the time he decides he wants to come back we will have better, younger options. Seriki is the coming man and his wages will be 20% of what Walker will want.
Seriki is barely proven at Championship level. Stepping up to the Premier League after a handful of Championship games is a huge ask. Someone like Walker would be a great mentor for Seriki to learn from, very much like Osula learning from Isak at Newcastle. He'll be a better player for it.

On a more serious note Walker would be a good signing if he was willing to reduce his wages. Would love to see him playing for the blades again.
I’ve said a few times but if we are serious If we get up, then throw Walker and Maguire in there and that back 5 with Anel, Burrows and Cooper looks serviceable.

With Arblaster, Peck, Souza, Hamer, Davies, you have some decent options already not forgetting O’Hare too. I can imagine is moving to 4-3-3 and having an extra body in midfield like Wilder had before.

It’s not a blank slate. There is something to work with.

Even up front, I can imagine Campbell could surprise a few. He’s a very clinical finisher.

Tony I totally agree but I said 'by the time he decides he wants to come back' and that won't be this summer. He can still earn 100k a week plus and we won't pay that and Im guessing he's got quite a lot of 'outgoings' given his personal situation.

Next stop Saudi i would think, however I hope Im wrong, I hope we get promoted and I hope he decides to play for his boyhood team for a paltry sum of 50k a week....we will see.

I’d assume he’s earned a few quid over the last few years. Unless he wants mega bucks in Saudi, I can see this happening. Would be an amazing mentor for all the young lads, not just the defenders.

If we go up then it's a no for me. If we don't go up then a 1 year contract would be fine. He would rip it up in the Championship - not so much now in the Prem.
Mental. If we go up, he signs when we’re in the prem, he’d easily be in the top ten, maybe even top five for right backs in the league. Blokes still ridiculously good, he’s just not chasing the title good.

No chance we’d be able to get a better right back, I don’t care which division we’re in next season.

If we could make it work financially, we’d be crazy to not sign him.

IF we go up does Anel stay anyway? I think he will but if not then Walker at RCB with Seriki at RB wouldn't be too bad!

Plus chuck in a cheeky £10m bid for Maguire.....

This reads like someones Football Manager game... and I love it.

Although he isn't the player he is, the step up to PL is so vast we can't just chance our arm on a young player. We will need some experienced PL quality in the mix.

I would rather have a season of an aging Walker than taking a stab on a loan signing (still feel my eye twitching of our left back options last season being Max Lowe, Thomas and Larouci).

I also think this squad deserve a shot at the PL. Campbell, O Hare, Peck, Burrows, all have potential to mix it. They might just need some experienced heads to help them along the way.

I am off to start a football manager season of my own. first purchase, Billy Sharpe... ;)
