Outgoing? Kyle Walker to move on...

Harry has proven he has ambition when he left us

However when he moves from the unfashionable Northern club Hull City it will be for about £5 million

Kyle Walker on the other hand might move for such a fee that we could end up with an extra five or six million quid in the kitty

Only my opinion but indications are he'll move for much more than that and I agree

Has there been any confirmation that we are actually in line for any Walker cash? A mate of mine used to work at Spurs around the time Naughton was there and is quite sure that a) we got barely anything for the Naughton deal, and b) Levy either bought out the Walker sell-on clause a while back, or it expired. He's adamant we'll get none of the Walker deal. No idea whether that's the case, but Levy is one slippery character.

I can believe the part about it being bought out!

I've taken this from the BBC "Gossip Column" - Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola wants to prioritise signing home-grown players this summer - and is confident of bringing Tottenham's England right-back Kyle Walker, 26, to Etihad Stadium. (Manchester Evening News)

I
thought he would make a perfect replacement for Danni Alves at Barcelona (they are supposed to be looking at Azpilacueta which makes sense) - but as far as sell on clauses are concerned Manchester City might do us nicely. I believe we are on 15% sell-on with KW and 10% sell on with Harry McGuire.

I can't believe Kyle is still only 26. He's been about forever!

And knowing our luck we haven't even got a sell on...

Any actual source on a sell on? People seem to be guessing.

10% sell on clause was confirmed last summer for both Walker and Maguire I thought?

Posted this earlier in the Kyle thread.

Jack Brookes to Chezzy on loan as part of the Cheddar deal confirmed by Giddings.

not bothered about the sell on fee so much..i'm just pleased for Kyle.. Spurs will always be a nearly team

I heard from our sports station over here last week , Tottenham are going to keep there younger stars Deli etc , etc ,and sell off the likes of Walker to help pay for the refurb .
Figure quoted was 45 million .
To city by the way ,
although talking to guys who know the family said Spain before finishing his career were it started .
Villa on loan .;)

Todays rag saying Pep will have to fork out £50m if he wants to sign Walker and that he is confident of landing his man after Walkers showdown talks with Poch. This following Trippiers number of recent starts for Spurs. Walker also unhappy at being paid less than some of the other stars at the club, as well as most of his England team mates.

Also says that City would be willing to more than double his wages to £150k/week

So 10% of £50m = a whole lot of wonga! :)

Is it not 10% (even if it exists) of the profit. They got out of the Naughton sell on saying he came free as part of Walker deal. Fee was 10m I think. so profit could be 40m. But it won't be 50m up front. that will be what it could rise to.

I imagine we may get around 2.5 - 3m, once all the various add ons are taken off. And that's even if the sell on exists.

If it has not previously been bought out we will negotiate a one off payment or let it ride and rake it promrata to their payment schedule. It's all about cash flow requirements.

I thought they'd got out of it by saying that, the majority of the original £10m fee was for Naughton and as such, they weren't making a profit on his transfer to Swansea, so no sell on fee was due?

Which, if true, may have seemed like a clever move by Levy then, but now...............:)

Actually that might have been it., either way if we got nothing for Naughts, then we should get somat for Walker.

All over back page of Sunday rag today

Spurs are selling him to Citeh for £40m :)

£175k/week salary

Fingers crossed

Not sure how footballers get paid in the off season, but if he gets that every week including holidays, that's £9.1 million a fooking year.

He's winning a lotto roll over once every 12 months haha

He could move back to Sharrow and commute by helicopter to Manchester.

In fact he could probably buy the whole of Sharrow and turn into his own private estate.

£4m would be very useful. Now we just need Maguire to move on too and we'd have a decent windfall.

10% of any fee...that's unusual, isn't it?

I thought it was usually 10% of any profit. Isn't that how Spurs avoided paying us anything when they sold Kyle Naughton to Swansea? Didn't they claim that they didn't make a profit on the deal so they didn't owe us anything?

Wonder how they'll avoid paying us anything as part of the Kyle Walker sale...
