Think people are forgetting how good JRS was

Single handedly won us matches on his day one of the best wingers in the league

Maybe he became ineffective because he’s a 20 year old been ran into the ground

I like brooks but he is nowhere near JRS at the moment

Whether Poku is better than JRS is irrelevant because we're not going to sign a player who is injured until March! Id imagine it would be very difficult for him to do a medical for starters plus how would that work with insuring the player for injury if he's not fit to do a medical?! If he was back in February I could imagine it more likely.

I think the post was suggesting it’s JRS that’s injured until March Booker4 … although I’ve been wrong before! 🤣

That's not what Wilder said recently but if JRS is injured till match then obviously we'll need a replacement in the meantime. Louie Barry would be the obvious alternative?!

Was going to say, great replacing an injured player with another injured player, beat me to it.

We have to learn our lessons.
Shackleton, Souttar, JRS, O'Hare and Cooper all arrived with a history of serious injury(ies).

If all eggs are going in the short-term promotion basket this season, then we need to avoid players that are likely to be unavailable (never mind definitely!).

He’s a huge miss no doubt, but not sure JRS is anywhere near one of the best wingers in the league he’s ranked 98th (4) goal creation stats. Per 90 minutes he’s 73rd (.32) To put that in perspective Wendy’s mussaba is ranked 22nd (.50) in the division in comparison, which I found absolutely shocking tbf.

The best winger in the division statistically is tied between two WBA players that are twice as effective Fellows and Johnstone (.64)

But both Cooper and O'Hare have played every match this season on the other hand. Sometimes the best players we can sign have some history of injury issues but it's worth the gamble because they're still really good players and we can't do what Leeds do and spend £10m on a player.

We may be able to do what Leeds can do now but we don't know as no one really knows the money behind these investors (apart from one).

If we can't do what Leeds can then these are clearly the wrong people to take us forward and would suggest it's a sideways step rather than going forward.

(I'm not saying they are or they are not, before anyone jumps on that).

mikey johnston was a big miss for us far better than rak-saki think he would have fitted in well at the lane but if we dont sign another winger give brooks a good run of games lets develop our own players

Feel like we massively missed out on Johnstone. Every time I’ve seen him he’s looked great.

He said 6 back.
But he didn't say JRS did he?

He did name check him in the interview before last.

In fairness, we only have 5/6 players out injured (excluding the ones out for the season), so he's almost suggesting everyone will be available for Norwich.
I don't personally believe him, but fingers crossed.

There’s another couple of “Shinpad Thursdays” before the Norwich game too……

To be fair to Jes Wilders tactics have absolutely stifled him.

The sideways and backwards football does not help him.

He needs to be given the ball and given licence to run at the opposition because we have seen to devastating effect that when we play to his strengths he can destroy teams.

Expecting Leeds levels of investment and having that as the minimum level for progression seems like deliberately setting us up to fail. There’s nothing that has been said or linked to the new owners that suggests this is a realistic expectation. It’s the same as those that said the previous owner was in the same league as other gulf state owners, again based on nothing.

I never said I was expecting it nor the progression. I just stated that we don't actually know the state of play for us, as there's no information out there to make any assumptions.

I think regards last owner everyone knew very quickly it wasn't th e same as his counter parts but the inital giddiness lays at the feet of the press, mainly the star who blew it and him wayyyyy out of proportion at the start.
