Kop pillars location

Need a bit of help, booking tickets for villa on Saturday, been a while since I sat on kop and don't want to book tickets with limited view because of the pillars and the website is not exactly clear. Can anyone tell me roughly what seats to avoid. Cheers

Think if you go lower than 140 ish the right pillar isnt a problem or just covers the corner flag, not sure about other side. This is from memory tho so don't quote me on it.

Seriously though you’re unlikely to get a decent view.

All the good ones are season ticket holders. On the wings you’ll find every corner everyone stands up due to the shallow rake. If on the other side you’ll not be able to see it taken.

If you do get a central seat above about half way the pillars will block a significant amount of the pitch.

It needs knocking down and rebuilding. That’s the only answer.

If there are any left 'centrally' 6 days before the game, they'll be in view of the pillars.

The pillars are around row N anything lower and you will be fine, even a few rows higher up will be ok as long as you are not too close to the pillars. Check on the ticket site it will show you which seats are restricted view.

I think we've been granted permission to paper over the cracks by removing the pillars and bolting another 2-3000 seats on at the back.

The shitty shallow rake seems destined to remain for the rest of our lives.

The view we had at Bolton is what it should be like at the back of the Kop, but it's a million miles away from that.

Some football clubs' online ticket systems show a photo of the pitch taken from each seat. Great idea!

Had this same issue a season or two ago, you can figure it out by looking at the seating plan. But to save you the time:

A new roof without pillars is the best we can expect. They won’t flatten it, it would coast an arm a leg to remove the hillside before they even start to build a new stand.

In 2018 it is a disgrace to have the view blocked by fucking pillars.

How much would we gain in the future if we had a Kop with better views and more seats but the similar prices/how long until it pays for itself? That's the question that obviously hasn't been answered in a satisfactory way for McCabe over the years.

If a new Kop cost £10,000,000, and got us an extra 1500 attendance with £25 tickets, it'd be 11 seasons before it's earnt back it's money, but construction quickly spirals out of control money wise and McCabe will want it to be a business centre, shopping centre, student accommodation so it'll probably be about £50m haha

£10m would be on the cheap side. It was £2m to lay a new pitch. John Street cost about £5m 20 years ago and they had next to no pre clearance work to do.

Fair points. Brentford are paying £70m for their ground, Liverpool's main stand cost £110m so it'd probably be £20m at least.

I’ve not sat in the Kop for at least 15 years and with the current plans in place, I can’t ever see me doing so again. So I’m not really bothered what the seats are like. But from my seat in the Westfield corner, the whole fucking Kop stand(plus the corner) is an absolute lopsided eyesore. But I still hope they abandon their plans to develop it and concentrate on the South Stand development instead.
