Absolutely despised by other exe pros at the club.He was a match day host at The Lane.
Presumably the club will have kicked his arse out of the door by now.

We have a few who suffer from the same Achilles heel mateI love Didzy and he is a pleasure to watch, but KG is right about that chance - he simply had to score. Goal scoring is his Achilles heel, but, I guess if he had this ability, alongside his vision and technical ability, he’d have played for Barcelona!
We produced exactly one great chance in that game. It should've been buried but the only other half decent chance I can think of was Brewster near the end. Now think of Chelsea, one of them slips in a one on one, one skies it after it bounces back off Ramsdale, the break for the second goal, they produce multiple good chances to get a goal.
It's not enough to come away from every game having had exactly one good chance and then saying "the strikers need to be more clinical". No one's that fucking clinical. And even if McGoldrick's finishing isn't good enough, he's the only player we have with any chance of producing something out of nothing. He's the only striker who actually joins the strikers and midfield together.
Kevin Gage has posted some decent takes in the past but this is beyond myopic. The defence is in tatters, we produce one good opportunity a game if we're lucky, and the only guy on the team who can actually consistently beat a man with some skill is to blame? Give over.
He’s currently cutting it in a terrible side in the Premier League. He didnt say he couldn't cut it in the Championship. He said the top end of the Championship. He may well be correct. Whilst Didzy has the technical ability will a new manager feel he is not athletic enough for a full championship season if the formation changes
Hope Didzi is a bit part player next season .By Kevin Gage unbelievable
And he 'supports' at least 4 different teams. Desperation or what.Warnock got him sacked when he slagged him off while working as a match day host
hes a typical little Englander from his politics to his views on BLM/lockdown/masks/vaccinations
blokes a full weight prick
No we wouldn'tWe’d have lost 2-1 Kev and been even more pissed off!!![]()
I'll never forgive him for celebrating in front of us when he played for Villa. I reacted accordingly and got ejected from Villa Park. The more I read of Kevin's posts the more I hate myself for wasting my own time. Blade or not, the guy is a plonker for a variety of reasons.
Don't matter today mate. Some plebs are confusing anti-lockdown with anti-vaxers. Think Kev is one the former.
Don't matter today mate.
Having the remotest concern about Gvt approach or communication, and trying to keep open minded about it all, renders you a nutter burning down 5G masts in the eyes of the mob.
Not sticking up for him, but he did win player of the year in the 94/95 season and scored a few goals, Luton away? With the exception of his great goal against his former club, Villa, Gage really was a poor player for us. Clearly, he had a rapport with Bassett, but sooner the likes of Pembo, Wilder, Hill, Ward, Bradshaw, etc. over him any day.
The mean retirement age for a footballer is 35. That would suggest that more than half (I know, mean vs median etc) make it to 35. To back that up, are you suggesting that Chris Basham calls it a day at the end of the season? He turns 33 in July.Cancel culture post.
He's not wrong though, is he? Not many players make it to 33, nevermind 34.
Wow, I didn't remember/ever know that. I was in Australia for the whole of that season, so followed through a weekly sports paper (pre internet of course), which is my defence. My memory isn't great and I thought he left before we went down. Cheers. Not sticking up for him, but he did win player of the year in the 94/95 season and scored a few goals, Luton away?

To be fair at the first game of the season when we beat Watford 3-0 he was awful, looked so unfit and unable to run it seemed.Wow, I didn't remember/ever know that. Actually thinking back, I did attend one before I went, think it was Notts County (1-3) and my word we were crap. I think Notts County beat us in the PL under Warnock too, after Agana had punched in our goal! Must have been one of his last goals for us.To be fair at the first game of the season when we beat Watford 3-0 he was awful, looked so unfit and unable to run it seemed.
He improved markedly after that. He had an excellent season and deservedly won POY. He was playing right back but covered ground like a modern wing back, frequently popping up in the opposition penalty area.To be fair at the first game of the season when we beat Watford 3-0 he was awful, looked so unfit and unable to run it seemed.
You didn't say that though. You said "Not many players make it to 33, nevermind 34" and I was pointing out that was incorrect. We're talking about the top level of the game though. If you are top 6 in the Championship, then you are just as good as lower bottom half Premier League. Do you think Bash will play 46-50 games next year ({cups included), if you expect that then you'll have a nasty shock.
Clubs generally make plans to replace players when they start hitting 30-31. Many players have to drop leagues to make it in the game at 34.
Agana got a great reception that day then proceeded to play crap despite County winning.Actually thinking back, I did attend one before I went, think it was Notts County (1-3) and my word we were crap. where as compared with Blade2Blade which just sounds shit, the other Blades groups on facebook simply are shit. It's getting worse too mind! The most worrying thing here is that there's a facebook group called 'Blade2Blade'. Sounds like a shit 90's pop band.
Yes, whatever his current view on Didzy and the long term, I rated Gage highly as a full back for us. And we've had some real duffers in the years since Len Badger. He improved markedly after that. He had an excellent season and deservedly won POY. He was playing right back but covered ground like a modern wing back, frequently popping up in the opposition penalty area.

I’ve got to say my recollection from the west end was that he used to get pelters every home game for being slow, overweight and generally crap. I’m amazed he’s hung around. With the exception of his great goal against his former club, Villa, Gage really was a poor player for us. Clearly, he had a rapport with Bassett, but sooner the likes of Pembo, Wilder, Hill, Ward, Bradshaw, etc. over him any day.
