Loans should be based on the following (probably in order);

- What they provide you for the term of the deal, a stop gap, without caring about their value and age. Plenty of top teams use these types of loans to fill gaps in their squad. You see a lot of teams with good academies doing these moves to protect the growth of their youth. The player being signed for a year won't get in the way of the progress of their youth as said loan player will be gone next year.

- A loan with potential of a buy, testing yourself with the player, vice versa, performance dictates the purchase option.

- The chance to see a future star play for you that you otherwise wouldn't have a chance of seeing play permanently for United, but they develop with us, make mistakes with us, probably grow throughout their loan.

Most fans seem to look negatively at the first option. Our accademy seems to be developing some top talent that we can use the odd stop gap loan player to our benefit while we loan our own youth out. Keiffer Moore as an example will only deteriorate season on season now but this season he will ensure we don't get bullied upfront allowing us to progress up the pitch. We need to fight for everything this season, make sure the youth is protected (on new contracts) then have the next plan of evolution for season 2 if we can stop up.
similar to mcburnie he would be handy defending corners and set pieces

We should be all over Ross Stewart not keef Moore

Treatment Table FC.

Agree he's a cracking player but we need to be so careful with who we sign now.
We don't have the resources to bring in any more crocks. Not a gamble we can afford at £10m.

Flo like Berge couldn't jump well at all and was also nesh! Berge much more skilful though! In fairness to Flo he did get 9 goals in the PL which isn't too bad, but he never looked at ease with playing for United.
He was particularly nesh for a big man, agreed. But I still enjoyed him playing for us.

3 injuries in his entire career ?

He isnt a brewster or a bogle
Generally been fit all his career just had a bad one

Better than gyorkeres for me
Which is it ?

Indeed he isn’t a Brewster, albeit he’s played less games than Bogle during the period since Bogle 1st started in 2018

Theres a diffreence between constantly getting small niggly injuries

Stewart did his achillies brewster and bogle have never been fit for more than 2 months ever

Really don’t want to appear argumentative…..
but……
Isn’t Brewster’s injury record essentially recurring hamstring issue(s) - not dissimilar to Achilles tear(s)
Equally Bogle’s knee (requiring surgery x2) is hardly “small” nor “niggly”
Irrespective of how you define injuries the fact remains Bogle has made more appearances than Stewart across the same timespan, including an extensive period when Bogle had (has) significant competition for a jersey whereas Stewart had been /is (rightly) a ‘shoo - in’ when (if) fit (& sometimes when far from)

My initial post was questioning you assertion that Stewart is “generally fit” - he isn’t & never had been - unsurprising given his style of play & how he is deployed
Even @ 30 games a season he’d be a decent signing, if he can (fully) recover but we haven’t got >£10m & certainly not to take a punt on him @ that price (with his injury record)
