I spent most of last season defending him. I thought he looked a handful on a number of occasions for us.

Ran the right channels, held the ball up well, he just made the wrong decisions in front of goal too often .. but when he got it right (Cardiff away) the quality was obviously there.

He disappointed over the season, but he definitely had it in his locker.

Definitely the difference between a top end championship player and a mid table Premier League player. Composure and decision making are more consistent although that also goes hand in hand with the fee (usually)

He fucked up at Wembley but hes not as shit as some like to make out. The issue for me was more the length of his contract and his wage. The bile spouted about him on here mainly because of that one game was incredible. I'm not that bothered he left but he was a useful asset at this level. Now hes gone its all on Cannon to take the flack.

Fact is this team would score goals if we set up in the right way. The issue is, up to now we haven't.

Yes.

He didn’t fit our style in my opinion, long ball parky will get a tune out of him.

They were playing Kazakhstan, I’m 55 and I’d fancy myself to score against them

All of a sudden he's up with the best, it was Kazakhstan as mentioned above, didn't do a lot for us mainly through Wilder's tactics so maybe that means Parky and Bellamy are better than Wilder

Let's not start rewriting history, he was shit last year. Not helped by the tactics but he looked a donkey for the most part, and was rarely ever 100% fit.

He'll always bag some goals at this level in a side that gets the ball into the box early and direct but he didn't fit us at all.

Quite a few of his goals this season have just dropped in front of him and hes knocked em in.

I know you have to be in the right place at the right time and all that but luck does make a difference.

Also the goal at Wembley wasn't totally down to him.
