Tanganga at millwall. Not huge but got a good leap and aggressive. Also not as wreckless as he used to be. I think he wants to leave millwall
Guess it all depends on whether the new board are funding any permanent signings. Not the tallest CB though, think he's 6ft tall, the same as Gilchrist.

I think this is a more likely signing for the summer to be honest.

I'd bring in a RWB that can attack and cross, we miss George/Bogle in this team, and that allows Gilchrist to move into the middle, between Anel and Robbo, hes predominantly a CB anyway.
Choudry into midfield, BBD down the left, Brooks right, complimented with a new RWB to push forward..... thoughts?

I think a lot depends on how close Seriki is to a return. He has all the attributes we need in that position and I suspect that incomings will be limited to 3 or 4.
So I can't see Chris using a spot on a RB unless absolutely necessary, considering we already desperately need a CB, CM, LW and ST.

Forget Brooks, Billing, both played yesterday for the The Cherries. The loan limit is 5 max in matchday squad of 18. So we could bring in another 3.

As I said, we would need to use Gilchrist in his preferred position at CB, and if Seriki does come back, we still need a defender, eather way, we still need cover in both Areas.
LW and CM is apparently already sorted if rumours/reports are true, and as for a ST, not sure if that will pan out, as we could use Hamer, and Campbell should be back, if it is Syatica as said???

Not sure if this has been mentioned couldn't we play RND as left centre back it's clear Burrows and Mccallum are ahead of him at LB he would be fine in the Championship

i like winger strikers so we need a left side winger we blades deffo need to sign Diaz if we can so great little brazilian gem gustavo hamer plays his more central role were hes more effective or if we cant get diaz back re sign expierienced callum robinson should have never sold him he recently scores 2 goals for cardiff in one game i thought he was outstanding and can do a job for us again like he did 2019 we also need a cente half im gutted that soutts got injured v burnley he was class and will be hard to replace ,,utb,,,

been impressed with mcallum when hes come on a system with him lb and burrows lm and ben brereton lw would give us a very good left side

so you are going back to a 3 5 2 or summat ? which we have only played as a plan B and been shyte with it

All the above depends on next season, so they have to either get us up, or be young enough to carry a profit forward for next season if we dont make the PL. So Either 3 £100pw loans or 6 £50k pw buys.

We now need a centre half, central midfield cover, a left winger ideally BBD so we can move Gus to his best position and a striker.

yes very important that we bring bbd in or somebody to play that position were so weak in midfield just now with arblaster and souza out we have to get hamer back in to the more central attacking midfielder role personally think we will bring a right back in and move gilchrist to his natural position centre back or certainly competing for that role hes done well but the lad isnt a.right back

I think we need more players in now, than we are realistically able to acquire in a single transfer window.

GK: No issues here. Cooper is our best signing this season for me. Wouldn't mind us replacing Davies as backup with someone who is less likely to scare the crap out of me, but that can wait until the summer.

DF: A new CB is mandatory now that Souttar is out. Anel & JLT as 1st choices is fine (though I'm far from the biggest JLT fan), but the backups to those are our current starting RB, and our 3rd choice LB. Not sustainable at all.

MF: We would really benefit from another senior DM-type I feel. The development of Peck and Arblaster (pre-injury) would have been better by having the option to rest them at times, rather than playing them out of necessity. Tom Davies' return has been greatly welcomed, but another body would be really useful to help share the workload around, especially when we are playing with 2 in the middle. Perhaps a ball-winning type, akin to Vini, would be the best option if such a player is available.

FW: Left-wing in particular needs to be addressed. There has obviously been a lot of chatter around BBD, and I would be delighted to see him come back, but I feel like a second player for that role would be great to bring in as well. That way we can move Hamer into a central role, be able to rest him and/or O'Hare at times, and not be as concerned about Hamer's growing yellow card collection. Right wing I think is in a good place once JRS is back healthy - Brooks looked good against West Brom, so hopefully the two of them can drive one another to raise their performances.

I wouldn't be opposed to a striker coming in, if we have reason to believe that some combination of Moore/Campbell/Brewster are going to be unavailable for an extended period. Campbell still being out currently is enough of a concern for me to be keen on someone coming in.

Before he got that bad injury (tracking back desperately to cover up a stupid Norwood corner routine), LCB was starting to look like his best position.

Not necessarily, we don't have cover at CB other than Gilchrist or the youth, we don't have any cover at RWB if Seriki is out long term, don't you think it's better to cover the positions were shortest in??
Or is that just a ridiculous idea!??

I read all these comments about players needed. Yes we do need some new players in. However how many would be of a Premiership standard?
These players need to be of that standard. Look what happened last time.
Also the three that went up last season, presently occupy the three bottom spots in the Premiership.
Just saying

No they don't, as 3 will be loans.... any perms would need to be better, but if its correct that BBD and Choudry are loans with options, then we're exactly where we need to be.
Obviously 3rd loan is Souts replacement.

where have we been linked with choudray 🤔

At the beginning of the season we invested in quality rather than quantity.
That was the difference in been mid table and challenging.
So whether it's permanent signings or loans, the standard needs to be there. Don't just bring in for the sake of numbers. Never works.

At least 3 of the players we bring in will be loan signings.
Likelihood is, they'll come from PL clubs. Therefore, it's easy to conclude that they're not going to be considered as "PL standard."

Our only objective this season is promotion.
If they're short-term signings and good enough to help us to achieve that, box ticked.

I doubt we'll bring in many (if any) permanent signings in Jan.

Think it depends what Blades content you use, CHOUDRY and BBD are the 2 players the previous owner sanctioned Wilder to move for, they were identified previously, obviously now we need to replace Souttar aswell.
Both are apparently loan to buy options.

What about poor old Shackleton , he must be wondering why he came here
He came here because we couldn’t buy anyone better and needed an Osborne replacement ie someone that can play a few positions in situations of dire emergency. Can see him moved on in the summer or possibly in January if we can bring in 4 players for specific positions rather than 1 that’s passable at 3 positions

but we don't have to name our youngsters in our 25 man squad
Not ones that are registered to us. So One for example, will not be registered. However, we do have to register young players whom we sign on loan. Not sure if that applies to Gilchrist or JRS based on their ages though.
