looks to be awfully one footed for me. Yeah the highlights reel looks great with all those turns and spins but hes having to do them because he has no left peg. I'm sure CWAK ahve done their homework though

Yeah that was my first thought as well.

Reading journalist that broke the story of it being close to being done has not provided any updates. I find it funny how all these smaller journalists and shit sources like Talksport are only hopping on this now. No one but us has made a bid yet and there is no news that our apparent 3.5m bid has been rejected. These stories seem like last chance attempts to get more money by Reading.

I thought we would have had Reading fans on here saying "No bids!"

There's a shock. Why anyone wanted them to stay up over Watford is beyond me.
I thnk its going to be very funny if Watford go down because of the "goals at Villa. Nobody seemed that bothered that it cost us 2.points but if it costs Watford or Bournemouth their premiership position there will be uproar

I haven't seen one report saying that Villa have even made a bid. Just lazy journalism. Grealish likely to leave, so Villa must be interested in Swift as a replacement.

As said above, it's probably just Reading plugging local journalists with gossip to try and get us to pay them more.

I'll trust Wilder to get this one done, or not if they start pissing us about.

He can use his left he’s just right footed. There’s an England U21 freekick (mess around) on YouTube. Takes one with his left and it’s good!

From the Reading Fans Forum.....Yes, they do actually have one!

Premier League clubs have a lot of money and unlike EFL clubs aren't really feeling the squeeze of this coronavirus no fans period, we shouldn't be sitting back and allowing ourselves to be mugged off just because we need to get our finances, particularly our wage bill, in order.

Especially to a shit club like Sheffield Utd. Lose their manager and they'll be in the Championship before you know it.

Haha!
Is Reading 'twinned with Hillsborough' or something? I always think of them as being the southern equivalent of Barnsley.

Not intentionally trying to be pedantic here, but can you to name me just one competent 2 footed player, bar greenwood at Man Utd?

I wouldn't compare Reading with Barnsley in fairness to Barnsley. Barnsley is followed by loyal passionate fans, Reading is just a soulless place with a soulless football team to boot. I can't think of a northern football team like Reading if honest.

They don't seem to like us because we usually beat them in their half empty lego stadium and its usually Billy Sharp, ex Reading loanee with the winner!

There is a sliding scale of competence from being two footed to being almost wholly reliable on one foot. From that video Swift is right down that scale, the ball is almost constantly on the outside of his right foot and his body positioning suggests he has very little left foot competence, thats why hes got to do so many tricks to try and manouver possession as he cant shift it onto his left to get out of trouble.

Can you honestly look at that video and tell me you see no difference in how much he favours his right leg to most premier league players ?

I don’t need to look at a video, seen him live enough times. Before his injury he was desti for regular game time in the prem league. This sliding scale you talk of, apart from greenwoo, who I still don’t know if he’s a lefty, or a righty, the rest of them have got one playing foot and one standing foot.

I bow your your superior knowledge so, have to say I'm suitably impressed that when you go to watch a game of football you take the time to analyse players so thoroughly. If your not in the scouting game your wasting your talent, kinda like Moose.

Meow! Easier for you just to admit that most players, bar Greenwood, use one foot. The sliding scale sounds articulate, but the reality is, it’s bollocks. Even if you were to bring Messi into the conversation?

Most players use one foot but have reasonably competent ability to use the other when it necessitates it, Swift looks far far less comfortable with the idea of using his left peg than any of our right sided players do, or indeed most right sided premier league players do. It seems my articulate nature makes this difficult to comprehend for you.

You seem to know better though to the point your not even bothered to look at what I.m referencing to in the video so pointless debating it with you. Being able to play a 5 yard pass to get out of trouble with your left peg when your right footed isnt in reality bollocks its a fairly basic thing a professional footballer at the top level should be able to do.

I recommend people watch Swift abit more before making comments. In general play he uses his left foot more than highlights show. There's a reason on a quite a decent number of occasions Reading have played him as a LCM/LDM. Ousmane Dembele is one of the most two footed players of all time and he primarily dribbles on his left peg, so clips of trickery do not paint the full picture of a players ability on either foot.

this would have been a more reasonable response in that regard id suggest providing some detail, as opposed to every player is shit with one foot unless they are Greenwood, might have taken the discussion in a far more fruitful direction id have thought.

Glad to hear he has some ability on his left foot because like I said the video paints a picture that suggests otherwise.

So he’s chucked Dembele in. I’ve got another hour before the football starts. Make it fruitful for us?

I cant stand them they are the most arrogant tossers apart from Leeds and them lot from S6 they really grind my gears

I’m guessing now last game is done this can be got over the line if it’s close

Has the window officially opened yet?

He’s a good player, fits the Wilder mould of having a pedigree of quality and been performing and playing every week.
All the better if we are nipping in before Leeds.

I can't take any Reading fan seriously after I heard they have 'Ultras'
They gather outside the away end and do a big co-ordinated dance to that "we are the royals" pop song their owner wrote.
