It would probably keep them up this time.
Not sure even Villa can spunk £300 million over two seasons and still be in the bottom 3 again, especially if they somehow keep Grealish.

Villa will be a force next season, no doubt.

If they do stay up, Villa will not do anything of note next season.

We will finish several places above them again.

Calling it now.

Still not convinced Villa will stay up. I'm not writing off Bournemouth getting a win at Everton, West Ham have picked up since the return and could give Villa a tough game and then we have Watford who will be playing the Arse who have just the cup final to win to reach Europe, so I can see them fielding a second 11 on Sunday. Watford could get something here, although they have made it more difficult for themselves by sacking their manager last week. Hope Watford survive.

I'm not sure where the price attached to Grealish emanates from, but if it's from within the Villa ranks then they are whistling in the dark.

I'm not questioning Grealish's talent, but does he justify that amount of money? Somehow I doubt it. I may be wrong but I would be surprised if Villa found many other clubs interested in signing this player at the price quoted.

As with all these things he’s worth whatever someone is willing to pay. If Manchester United are willing to pay £80m then he’s worth £80m. If the most anyone is willing to pay is £20m he’s worth that. No one is really worth £100m are they but that’s the farce that is football

Well so far the price in question has emanated from within the dark recesses of Villa.....and guess what, no one has bitten? So perhaps the supposed logic of whether someone's prepared to pay a price falls flat on it's face.......but let's wait and see. My take is that should Villa lower this price to around £50-55million then they may find a buyer, but the boy has a lot to learn and to prove, so I'm still to be convinced. Good player no doubt, but exactly how good remains to be seen. His apparent star quality hasn't prevented Villa from being in the relegation struggle, so let's see if anyone decides whether Grealish is worth a punt?

There’s no doubt he’s a good player, falls over too much for me but quality all the same.
How he looks in a team where he isn’t the standout player and where he’s the focal point for all their play I’m less sure

The above renders you, IMO, devoid of the merest notion of how professional football Is played.
This is rich coming from the bloke who wants us to sign Atdhe Nuhiu to cause bollocks in the premier league 👍🏻

In 2009, £80m bought you Cristiano Ronaldo, now it buys you Harry Maguire and possibly Jack Grealish.

Football is losing it's common sense.
Even more so when £200 million brought you Neymar could buy at least a full squad if not half of one for that money

Blades tie-up Swift deal

Reading midfielder John Swift is on the verge of completing a move to Premier League side Sheffield United.

BerkshireLive report the 25-year-old is putting the finishing touches to a transfer for an initial fee of £3.5m

Leeds United had also been keen on the player but it is the Blades who are set to win the race for the highly-rated former England U21 international.

The playmaker has scored 21 goals in his time with Royals, having been signed by Jaap Stam in 2016

A bargain for a Premier League club, We know how good CWAK are at spotting talent lets hope they have hit the jackpot again.

I know you shouldn't always take much notice from youtube, but he does look some player :p

Edit: I could watch this all day :)

It is brilliant to watch. Can't workout if his foot speed is slow. Maybe it's the editing but his step over and turns seem slow. Some Prem defenders will relish that if it is the case. Also, the level of closing down in some of those videos is embarrassing. Clear the boy has a shot on him and they just stand him off.

Won’t find it that easy to dance around players and tackles in PL

I think he has really quick feet - our other midfielders have done ok for us this season and not being eaten up by so called prem defenders, and i think this lad will cause real problems.
