Both would do a good job for Preston

Peak versions of them were premier league, last season they weren’t, even when fit. But now:

Norwood - not had a preseason and probably wouldn’t get up to speed quickly enough before Xmas to make an impact.

Egan - I hear there are doubts about his recovery and I’d be surprised if he’s close to getting fully fit to do a “preseason” if he could indeed get back to playing to any level at all.

Looking at Preston on one game only, they had no midfield, no leadership and looked off the pace. We got an easy win in the end despite missing chances, they offered nothing. They need impact players, players that can come in and hit the ground running, some loans and players to make a step up.

If I was Hecky at Preston I’d probably steer well clear of Egan until at least new year and Norwood as a longer term solution, but I’m not sure it’s a gamble worth taking for a new manager on a limited budget
