Oh indeed, but his reasoning that if you buy lower league players, you end up a lower league team is clearly incorrect.
absolutely. you just have to identify the ones who are too good for the division. player of the season awards.. fans player of the season etc. your own thoughts about the oppo when we played them. you can easily work out who the cream are

I would have thought Forest would ask a lot more than £10m?

They're lower placed than Villa so they won't have a choice.
The biggest surprise to me is that Villa started the bidding at £10 million, surely £2 million would have been enough to get Lolley to throw a paddy and destroy the team spirit

I'm going to have to put you on ignore
If you're like this now what are you going to be like when anything bad happens ?

Probably been mentioned on here already but Lolley is a Villa fan. If they come in for him, he goes there.

I beg to differ, if you are a Sheffield United fan , I’m Lord Lucan

Well like it or lump it I am, but I'm just not wearing red and white specs constantly
You can't have it both ways

Either a higher placed club has the advantage or they don't. All players throw a strop until they get their move to a higher placed club or they don't.

I'm firmly of the belief that they don't, but our directors don't think this and it has been proven before, numerous times with their pathetic excuses. Selling a player is one thing, but treating people like they're a bunch of fucking idiots with their "You can't keep a player once a higher placed club comes in for him" is another.
Now the boot is on the other foot, so I am expecting us to make miserly offers for players and create problems thus getting them for practically nothing.

I thought you were going to offer to drive him to Birmingham, well I will pay your petrol money

Ahhh diddums, he's back again look.
Nothing I've said isn't true, if I was a pro footballer I'd sign for Villa rather than us and so would anybody else regardless of what team they supported.

Then, I might have a comfortable retirement, instead of having to run a pub or drive an HGV or something

Distinct difference between a follower and a fan.
If you gave me the chance to score the winning goal in the Champions League final for Barcelona, or the goal to get Sheffield United promoted from the National League, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to be running into the kop.

That's nice,
Personally I'd be at Barcelona scoring the Champions League winner, it's got nothing to do with United, it's just personal ambiition

You must be delighted that the past nine months of amazing on-pitch success are over and you can get back to the important business of slating the club and its transfer policy.

Lolley jogging back in a pathetic attempt to stop Stevens in the last minute at the Lane showed me he's a lazy cunt. Don't get the hype with him.

I don't know what scoring a goal for Barcelona in the Champions League Final has got to do with our transfer policy, but hey, knock yerself out

Thanks I don’t think you’d be alone, but your money wouldn’t be necessary it would be an absolute pleasure.

We’ve all been there – a mate of yours at work that makes a shit job just that little bit less shit, who unexpectedly departs leaving you in the shit job forcing you to interact with the rest of the work scum.

That’s the exact situation for Joe Lolley, with a piece in The Athletic today focusing on Lolley Loneliness since the departure of club BFF Ben Osborn. January target to reunite the pair?

Perhaps next week there will be a crushing story about how Osborn’s feeling great despite not having really played, “and it’s all because I’ve found a great new room-mate, John Lundstram.”

Sounds familiar, particularly when this particular work mate was a near 6ft blonde with a massive pair of jugs :p

"...I think we will have a chat over breakfast when we are away, but that will be it for me this season"

<stony silence at the breakfast table, just the noise of spoons against dishes, as Joe Lolley and Ben Watson eat their Rice Crispies>

<Joe Lolley> "How are your Rice Crispies Ben?"

<Ben Watson> "Fine I guess, how about yours?"

<Joe Lolley> "Yeah fine"

<Silence.....................>

<Joe Lolley> "I sometimes have Weetabix at home, how about you"

<Ben Watson> "Sometimes, yeah>

<Silence..............>

<Joe Lolley> "are you looking forward to Christmas Ben?"

<Ben Watson> "yeah, are you?"

<Joe Lolley> "yeah"

<Silence.................>

<Joe Lolley> "well I guess we should go and clean our teeth and get on the team bus"

<Ben Watson> "yeah"

Not sure he would fit into the current system (though a good player and one if the better ones in the championship). Also think he would cost too much for what he would give us. Think we can spend our money better on other options.

We apparently had an interest in him this pre season?

I rate him. Dont forget given the economic situation Forest might have to cash in for less then they would have got for him before the lockdown.
