There is also nothing relating to United on his account which means he’s literally gone to the effort of removing posts that show he ever had anything to do with us or Watford. What a wet wipe.

Profile looks suspiciously like that of someone who's joined a cult, which would explain a lot.

Very badly advised by parents / agents…..another young player with potential who was let down by those around him who saw £££££££
That's exactly what I've heard about his parents. Completely pulling the wool over his eyes apparently

Nice way to remove any personal record of his career.

What prospective employer would look at this and think...

"Yes, he looks like a fine addition to this team. He clearly has a great work ethic, a balanced temperament and he'll really add to the morale around here"

It'd almost be excusable if he was any good, but he's bobbar, so it's not

Hadn't realised he got minutes for Bournemouth before going to Watford.

So presuming Watford are paying a %age of his wages then unless there is an option for them to send him back, he will spend the rest of the season training with their kids. Unless Bournemouth take the hit and recall him to train with their kids...either way, Jebbo's not getting any first team football this season!
And when you put that in the context of no football last season, he is on his way to being an ex footballer

Can he get a loan abroad or is the 2 team thing for all football
Believe it's a FIFA rule that covers all football - think a few years ago there was some rulings regarding players moving to leagues where the season covers a different time frame. So he could potentially move to a league like the MLS or league of Ireland, but not 100% sure on that.

you’re right, I’m going to go back and delete all my Jebbison posts
I will also un-read all your Jebbison posts 😉

Strange situation. Think I mentioned before how he has seemed very distant from rest of team when celebrating so can only assume there's some mental health issues going on. It's a shame tbh but then again sometimes people are just a bit c*nty. Hope he gets some help and support obviously but it's not looking good for him career wise right now.

i think we're getting a little obsessed with DJ. it's getting weird.
It’s not obsession. Young players need to take notice of how a young player develops his career when their breakthrough opportunity comes. There’s so many factors like club, parents agents, scouts, media, social media etc to consider.

Big buck move must be so tempting often ending up as a bench warmer, loanee and the chance of regular football risking their career developing long term (for a footballer) then onto badges, coaching management, punditry etc.

Loyalty and humility seem in short supply for talented young players.

Not mantpy get that far particularly if they make wrong early decisions and have attitude / chips on shoulder.

At the rate he’s going, it’s only a matter of time before he’ll have to delete all his posts about ever being a professional footballer.

I think the thing holding Daniel back from becoming a top successful professional athlete at the peak of his abilities, is the fact he thinks he’s already there and has for sometime now.

You could be right he has dropped a clanger in my view . could be a long haul back for him . Obviously he thought or he was told he is better than he is .he could end up in the lower leagues . Hope this is a lesson for others in our Academy or on the verge of a break through to the first team . You will get a opportunity at the lane ,it's up to you to grab it like Peck ,Blaster, Brookes,

Yep …. There is a long list in football of players with potential who have been down this road! He should have talked to Jordan Slew for a starter!!!!

Idiot parents / greedy agents!

Watching the Alex Ferguson documentaries over Christmas. He talks about the importance of young players understanding that to really make it in the game they have to make sacrifices.

Not easy for a male teenager or one in his early twenties to not do the things that most young people of that age do. Many of us find self-discipline difficult in later life and it's multiple times more difficult for a younger person.

I would imagine the most successful academies emphasise this as much as the development of skills on the pitch.

If those sacrifices are taken on board then the rewards can be life changing.

All I’m seeing is great business.

Got him for nothing, developed him.

Sold him for 1.5-2m.

That probably runs the Academy for a couple of years alone.

Spoilt twat for me.
Don’t disagree.

Yet I was a little gobshite / imbecile in my late teens, early twenties.

They are thrust into spotlight and given more money than any teenager should have. Yes he should know better, yes he should’ve been better advised and yes others navigate this scenario better.

Football ability, clearly doesn’t equate to mental fortitude and a level head.

Sympathy isn’t the word, but he’s a flawed human like the rest of us so you’ve got to say it’s understandable, if not excusable.

It is a bit odd how closely we're all still following his career, I don't recall a similar obsession with the likes of Jordan Slew

This company are basically setup to rinse pushy parents, I’d say that 99% of the kids that go through things like this are taken by parents who are convinced their kids are pro standard. It does work for some kids but he seems to be their poster boy.

Of course the counter argument is what if he didn’t take the big bucks, then gets injured. eg: a hamstring ala Brewster, falls down the food chain and ends up making no money from his career in football. Then everyone says you should have took the money.
Perhaps a bird in the hand 🤷‍♂️

My Hornets buddy, says good riddance. He is of the opinion, the lad thinks he is better than anyone else thinks of him. Shame really.
