Strangely, I almost feel positive about this. Possible scenario, Adkins gets up from bench at 4.55pm last Saturday and thinks - bloody hell this squad needs major surgery and large injection of Cojones, I need money fast how do I get it. Let's have a chat with Murphy, Agent and Brighton, not necessarily in that order, I'm overloaded with identikit attacking midfielders, it'll give me room in the squad to develop Adams. If there is the slightest bit of truth in this then it strikes me that for the first time since Warnock we have a proper manager in charge who is able to think strategically, have the bollocks to back his judgement and mould the players into a team. Of course this theory will be blown out of the water without incomings that balance this squad out before the transfer deadline, here's hoping.

If Jamie Murphy was not a talented player a club would not pay a reported £2 mil for him.

Anyone who doesn't think this is devastating news is deluded. Once again we have been lied to by the club.

However if the money is re-invested and quickly on 3-4 quality players in key positions we need then fine.

I posted on here 4 weeks ago that we couldn't afford to give head starts and opportunities to other clubs if we were serious about promotion and that is exactly what we have done.

Tomorrow could turn toxic quickly especially if Town get on top in the first 10 minutes.

To be fair I would not be throwing around transfer figures to prove a player is decent. We did pay £2million for Henderson, £1.7 million for Akinbiyi and £1.2 million on Horsfield.

Correct ...... Murphy is not worth £2.2 million, however, his replacement will also cost a shit load more than he is worth as well so we'll have to pay it !!
