Nixon now saying we're looking to rush a deal through for him...

Wow, fingers crossed.... seems its genuinely happening. Did not expect this

Funny that we look to have made 2 exciting loan signings who were first recommended on here before any links emerged! 😀

I don't think it would be right to expect him to be MGW. MGW had made something like 50 Prem appearances so his development was a lot further along. Some of our fans would be upset if Arblaster, Osula etc... were to go out on loan, just the way fans are...

But he seems highly rated but this will be his first real test in mens football so be perhaps unrealistic to expect too much from him.

Some City fans are really not happy about this. Is this really MGW 2.0 we are signing?

Arguably more highly rated than MGW with a higher ceiling but a lot less experience

Who knows what we can get out of him, linking up with Doyle could be very good for him, Doyle and us though

Any creativity at this point is a welcome edition. might soon have the squad depth required which will see us through this injury crisis we seem to be trapped in. Also, to replace Fleck and Norwood.

It will also be interesting to see how it affects Fleck and Norwood.

Maybe they are finally finished here but who knows whether this could wake them up and get positive reactions from them? If they do drop out of the team once Doyle is fit and McAtee does arrive, perhaps it will create more competition for the two central midfield slots?

Norwood isn't finished yet but Fleck is. Not sure if its a COVID thing or just old age but Fleck is not a player I recognise anymore.

Not counting chickens as it seems like there are a lot of people in for him…

But perhaps and underrated factor in our favour could be that Doyle is already here. Surely it benefits city to have Doyle and Mcatee plying together in the same side / building a rapport / linking up and understanding each other games etc if they hope they might play first team football for city.

Just our luck we get him signed score on his debut, celebrate with his trademark backflip, land on his neck and will be out for the rest of the season
Apart from that I am quite optimistic

Where does the lad actually play?
Is he still a 10? Or is he strong and box to box enough to play in the centre?
Doyle looks to be deeper, so he'd have protection either way.
