Left footed too.....so could definitely replace Jimmy F.
Possibly although I still think Norwoods passing range is key to how we play despite his weaknesses.

Think it’s more likely to be Norwood and Doyle in midfield with McAtee one of the more advanced players

Aye pretty much Doyle looks to have better passing range than McAtee so can do the whole dictating from deep thing whereas McAtee is better on the dribble and a better finisher. They should slot into the same 11 quite nicely. Yeah they’re both on the slighter side but if they were well built lads and carried the technical ability they’ve currently got I don’t think we’d have a sniff at bringing them in

If only Utd had a big aggressive monster in midfield that could win the ball and protect them - one of the elusive missing parts of the jigsaw (together with another goalscorer and decent LWB).

Don’t think it’s the size that matters but the bite. Fleck at his best did that for us he’s the snidest bastard we’ve had since Brown.

I’d seriously be tempted to give Blaster some minutes just to see if he can offer that energy and break things up for us

Blaster, Doyle and McAtee playing together will be mistaken for the U10s side

We’ve always loved playing midgets in midfield

I remember being petrified every time Scougall went into a tackle that he'd snap. I'd much prefer to have a Papa Bouba Diop / Thomas Partey type in there with the young lads.

Coulibaly has the body type but we’ve yet to see him really impose himself maybe that will come. Someone like Jack Cork would be ideal but he’ll have a role to play at Burnley.

He doesn't look like a Fleck replacement, looks like he plays an advanced role (20+ goals last season). He's here to be a 10, so would be competing with Ndiaye / Khadra / Berge (if he stays, which I'm starting to doubt).
Probably planning on playing the 1970s Brazil 5 tens formation......Baldock in the Carlos Alberto role.....probably not!

I really think that we are doing Fleck,Norwood and Stevens no favours at all by continuing to select them.It is sad that their excellent contributions over the previous five seasons will be forgotten and all we will remember will be more awful displays like those last night. It is time for change, young, skilful, energetic players need to be introduced now, even if they are only loanees, that can change the whole dynamic of the team.We have an ageing squad and with what seems to be an endless list of short and long term injuries we are fighting with one hand tied behind our back.

Genuine question. If PL clubs are wanting him then why is he signing here?

It's a loan. Needs guaranteed game time and the freedom to play his game, make mistakes and not take heavy punishment for them.
The kind of player he is, he would benefit more from playing in a team that's going forwards more often than not.
More beneficial than a relegation battle which would damage his confidence.

Wow, fingers crossed.... seems its genuinely happening. Did not expect this

Funny that we look to have made 2 exciting loan signings who were first recommended on here before any links emerged! 😀
I do question myself sometimes why i make so many player suggestions on the rumours thread, i think it's because i am a bit of a sadcase, but i also do genuinely make the threads in the hope that someone at the club is reading them from time to time. It's probably bollocks to think they'd even consider them, and a complete coincidence two signings this year were rumour mill suggestions.

... I do hope they maybe look from time to time for pointers on where to scout further... I won't be stopping with the suggestions anyway, I love finding players as a form of irl footmanager-esque procrastination from the office 😁

Norwood will have better days but for me his time of starting against the better sides should be over. At home, against lower teams he will absolutely still be an asset. Fleck, we can only hope he improves a lot, I was hopeful he'd be back towards his best with a pre season but that last night was woeful, we can't get Doyle fit quick enough based on that.

Enda, not convinced he was that bad last night and by a country mile the best LWB that played for us, whether that says more about Max Lowe or Enda is a valid debate. I would guess that RND is currently ahead of them both though.

He’ll be injured within a few days of him signing. The curse of our training sessions.

The threads are read...
