Just stumbled across this on the star website? Says we've signed him from Guiseley? 17 year old striker apparently...couldn't find another thread about it.

He is only just starting out on the journey - but young strikers are an interesting breed really that can earn a club bucket loads in transfer fees if it comes off. We've had many false dawns with young, promising strikers that just don't make it once past 20 years of age and "proper" mens football, but that doesn't mean a club like ours should stop trying.

The present management seem to be switched with the "good" youngsters - the change of direction for Brooks and the latest one, Tyler Smith speaks volumes that our club is not just about the 1st team and actively tries to develop them. This must help when we get the chance of a young kid as there is normally a host of clubs trying to persuade them. to join.

Riyad Mahrez had 30 coaches per game watching him in the final weeks of his time in French Ligue 2 before Leicester came in.
Che Adams was the same at Ilkeston, which loads of scouts watching him before we signed him.

Our academy appears to have a good reputation - lets hope the kid makes it.

Registered in 2014, then hardly any posts during our best most entertainig spell in decades.
I’ll take a guess you joined the SU2 forum in 2014, then you were ship wrecked on a desert island for a few years. Am a I close? Ha ha

Ha! I originally registered on the previous forum during the time of the legend himself so technically it's an even longer lurk. Tbh I got a bit tired of the bickering and sniping whenever anyone posted something that someone didn't agree with (which I can see still goes on a bit) but all in all it seems a bit more of a civilised placed.

Also.... is Clough still doing averagely? Is Jamie Murphy still hot and cold?

Has been on Trial for a few weeks and has made nine appearances, including subs. for the Under 23 and 18's scoring 3 goals.

You'll be pleased to hear we finally got shut of Jay Fucking McEverley. Young Nigel has gone aswell. Got Tinchy Stryder in now. Don't worry you haven't missed much.

After reading the Madine threat...it would appear it is actually just the same as it always was. Lots of fall outs on there!
