Olle Nygren, what a rider he was. Wimbledon were a league above us, National League. Went to their stadium a couple of times when working down there. Barry Hartle, another one who could have done with a few more stone, like Tony Wagstaffe who was one of the most skillful players at the same time.

Bergen Blade , do you or any of the other Norway Blades know of anyone who was at the Lyn Oslo match or the Brann Bergen match two days later?
I wasn't aware of those games, but I've asked on the SB Facebook group. Harald Berg, the waiter who scored against United, is well known. He went on to play professionally in Holland. Three of his sons were top class players and his grandson Patrick Berg is a current international for Norway. Andreas Morisbak went on to do coaching and is well known for writing books about football coaching. One of the Scandinavian Blades will know him well. Kolle and Stavrum later hads sons playing professionally.

On Brann's site the match against Sheffield United is mentioned as a highlight of the season. A crowd of 14000 saw club hero Roald "Kniksen" Jensen make a guest appearance and score. At the time he was a Hearts-player. He was a big hero in Brann, and there's a statue of him outside their home ground. He died just aged 44.
