I’m ok with this as a one off for experience
Every other signing needs to be young, up and coming (getting better) and rapid.
We said exactly the same about Bryan Robson and look how that ended upHe's wealth of experience at the highest level.
His contacts in the game.
WYEDP?Welcome back to the Lane Mr. Jags!
That's not a good comparison at all.Jags is still playing. We said exactly the same about Bryan Robson and look how that ended up
Yes. I know that, but I was referring to the comments about his wealth of experience and contacts. Exactly the same comments were made about Robson. That's not a good comparison at all.Jags is still playing.
Robson was a retired player with managerial experience.
Jags I would assume looks after himself as a player ,Robson certainly liked a drink

Speaking of potential extra coaching staff, it’s time to also bring this guy back from his antipodean exile.

Not this shit again leave the past in the past, he might do well at Sheffield Sharks basketball team. In short jog on Jags we have better at the club already, if you want a last pay day see Uncle Colin.
What a lovely way to talk about a proper blades legendNo Thanks Jags. You had your big pay days when you fucked off
Jags would be great for us if the price (wages) are right! We seem to have become obsessed that no older players should be signed, even if some PL experience would help no end.
Gordon Cowans, Paul McGrath, Gary Speed, Stuart McCall off the top of my head all were older than Jags, had had excellent careers far advanced of our club, yet were superb performers for us.
Theres room for one of this ilk imho.
Legend my arseWhat a lovely way to talk about a proper blades legend
A bit simplistic that to be fair, and I give you David McGoldrick, released by Ipswich.Could anyone explain why he would be good for us when he isn't good enough for Everton, more Bladey clap trap Pinchy was right all along bringembackbringemallback.
I'll give you Jags replacement James Beattie 2nd time around, or maybe Dean HammondA bit simplistic that to be fair, and I give you David McGoldrick, released by Ipswich.
Legend my arse
Hand ball in our last game to ensure he got the move to Everton yeah BoooooooooooooooooooooooooCame through our youth system.
Scored an absolute stunner against Leeds to help us to an upset in the cup.
Player of the Year in his last 3 years.
Could have had a Premier League move but stuck with us to help us get there, and to try and keep us there.
Understandably left after relegation following his 8th season.
Boooooooooooooo.

I agree with the sentiment, but those you quote aren't reasons why we should bring back a player who will be 37 in a couple months
