How much is a lot less?
Usually quite a lot of supposition, a shedload of guesswork, and a complete lack of credible information..

How much is a lot less?
Couple of things to note.
The new contract is signed to protect the club, this is done so when a player leaves the value is increased due to buying out the remaining contract, famously done at Man Utd with Ronaldo, the contract will not stop any move should the club and player accept terms, just means the selling club get top whack and the player gets a pay increase in the interim, which of course the new club has to top, so a win win situation for the selling club and player - that’s why they sign new contracts before they move sometimes..
Secondly, the quote we don’t need the money / we don’t need to sell.
Somebody who’s from saudi needs about £40 million for a hotel, academy, and stadium, should spurs offer £35m plus clauses rising to £40mill, it’ll be bye bye baby.. and we all know it..
I’m serious about £40m as that’s the least we should take - so he was £300k ? (To my memory) that’ll be £39.7m profit before Brentford get their slice... let that sink in before saying he’s going nowhere..
Love O’Connell but we should expect to be tested some time soon..
For me the bidding starts at 80 million. He's shown this season, he's every bit as good as McGuire.3.5 years left on contract, would accept nothing less than £40 Million.
If you listen to the full interview the talk is about new contracts and Wilder said he's aware even if someone signs a contract it doesn't protect them from recieving a bid. Then he said if clubs comes in paying double wages then he knows we can't match it.
I think it goes for 90% of clubs in the league. Leicester lost Maguire in the Summer and are an established Premier League club. Same with the likes of Southampton, Burnley and Newcastle who have all lost players they wanted to keep. Palace are almost definitely going to lose Zaha.......it's football.
Going for 25million
Mind you we will have Jack Robinson as is replacement
Don’t be fooled by the headlines. They pay a lot of bonuses so that if you play regularly and the team is doing well your overall wage is a lot bigger. That’s how they’ve kept the side together for so long.Spurs don't offer eye watering wages though.
Yeah they'll offer more than us, but until recently Kane was only on 80k a week and players like Son are on less.
Depends if he wants to play in Europe next season? If he does he’s better off staying here! It`s maybe one for the summer this, no way can I see us letting him go this window.
Would be difficult for JOC to turn away from eye watering wages, which blow ours out of the water.
Is she a squirter!? I'd pay to see that! She probably gets paid in bucketsMy Mrs works in the marketing team and she seems to be splashing a lot out lately.
Can you let me know what her wage is please.
They can be redirected to the marketing department, ask for Scooter_mcgavin's wifeyNot a penny less than 70m or they can piss off.
But that’s what the pig was suggesting; that we live beyond our means. They were always beyond their means though. Youri Djorkaeff and Jay-Jay Okacha (who we turned down when he asked for £40k per week) on gates of 21k? House of cards.
Really? I find that hard to believe, he’s had about three new contracts since going there. What are the figures? It’s interesting to note that all the money Everton pay out on wages we pay McBurnie 50% more than Everton pay Calvert-Lewin.

If they think he’s a good as Maguire they can pay £80m for him then. If they don’t think he is, why are they buying him?Rumour off a Manc Poo fan today, they're looking at JOC as a possible replacement for "what's that round thing that keeps going past me Jones", as he's wank!??
Not sure how true it is, but I thought I'd share.

Maguire played on the right for us though, he could do that, or the middle of a three.Left sided centre half. Plays in exactly the same position as someone they paid £80 million for and is an England regular. I'm calling bullshit on this one unless Old Lead Boots is off, which i highly doubt as where would he go?
Caught up now. One of those complete guess work sources eh?Read on.![]()

He did play in a back 4 when we played Southend at home in his first season with us (please whoever is after him watch that game). No way a big team which plays 4 at the back are going to take the gamble on him. None of us know how good he'd be in a back 4.
