Aye, he's played today as well.

Possibly 🤷

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one and see what happens!

Or...£20 to charity or the forum says he'll play again? 😏

I’m a student but I’ll stretch to £10

I don’t think he’ll play another meaningful minute for us - only potentially a last game appearance to say goodbye

Sounds good to me!

If he plays another competitive minute for us, you chuck a tenner to a charity or to the forum...and if the club announces he's retiring then I'll do likewise ☺

He's a student, so £10 is a week's money. If you lose you have to chuck £500 in ;)

I think if there's any one player I'd back to make the most miraculous come back in football history, it's him. That's all I'm saying.

With Jack nobody outside United and the medics actually knows what the original problem was ,it wasn't a ACL ,
If your not back running on grass after two years ,it doesn't look good

Let's be honest, if he does (as we all hope) make a comeback, it's likely the first team he plays for won't be us. He'll have not played football for 2 years. He's not coming straight back into a Championship club chasing promotion.

Just seen him in the corner shop/Post office on Shoreham, looks like he's lost a lot of that timber!

Wont he be there to support his partner for tonights match
Yeah thats what I was thinking, probably there to support A.G. tonight.

He seemed really chipper and was happy to stop for a photo and chat to me for a minute about my ACL op last year (he replied to a story I tagged him in on insta after my knee op, to wish me well) but I just didn't dare ask him directly whether he'd be back!

I imagine he gets it all the time.

I did say I hoped to see him playing again, he just smiled and said wait and see!

I will simply have no cock left whatsoever if I see his name on a teamsheet this season. I hope the club don’t tease it either, just do it one game.

And if it isn’t to be, with his contract up at the end of the season I hope the last home game he’s on the bench, fully kitted, for us to send him off properly

At the age of 19 (23rd November 1982) I snapped my posterior cruciate & lateral ligament. I never kicking a ball again, & always take a personal interest when a player suffers a similar injury. Until now the story ends badly. If I was religious, I would have prayed for Dane Whitehouse & Morgs. By the way, if anyone ever doubted how hard Morgan was, he walked off the pitch with his injury, whereas, I screamed like a baby & still have never experienced a pain like it. Following 10 operations, I had a prosthetic knee in my late 40's.
I'm convinced JOC is going to be the one that breaks the bad run. If he does, I hope he gets the biggest cheer Bramall Lane has ever given to an individual player.

Good Luck Magic Hat.
Sorry to hear about your knee mate that’s awful.

I bumped into him one match day morning in a lift in the Copthorne (remember those days?) and asked him is Bash playing today?

He replied "I don't know I missed training because I was ill yesterday" and to be honest, that day he played like he was ill ;)

He's a top lad though.

As an aside, what on earth is Eriksen thinking? I wouldn't go near that club with a barge pole.
He’s probably thinking I basically had a heart attack not so long ago and now I can’t legally play football in certain leagues so I’m going to cash in as much as possible in the 2 years I have left in the game..

Don’t blame him one bit

Wasn’t it Gordon McQueen who said “90% of players will tell you they’d love to play for Manchester United. The other 10% are lying”?

As shit as they’ve been, they’re still Man U and still a big draw. One of the most famous clubs in the world.

Posted about it on another thread, biggest net spend on players in world football over the past decade. the sooner Furguson retires the better for that club

If I remember correctly, the Glazers only bought the club because the previous owners fell out with him over a racehorse. They’d “given” him this top horse, and he got substantial winnings from it during its career but then he wanted the stud rights too and dug his heels in.
If you consider that, his choice of replacement (no manager should get to choose who replaces him), his quitting when the team needed a complete rebuild and his constant presence at the club, there’s an argument that he’s undoing a lot of the good work he did.
Wasn’t he also partly responsible for bringing Ronaldo back, at the last minute, when the entire pre-season was based on a system that didn’t suit him, so that they had to change the system just before the start of the season?
