CONFIRMED Jack O’Connell injured?

I’m the one who originally posted it, never claimed to be ITK, the person who told me isn’t ITK either. I’ve been a member on here for just over a year. I was just passing on something I heard. I’m hoping I look like a twat for posting it. I’d much rather prefer that than JOC being injured.

Well in this case it's pretty big news, and they've obviously thought it worth a mention. I imagine they'll disappear again as they'll probably think we're not worth the hassle. My source (family member from next year) can't be arsed with this site for that exact reason.

I don't think people are even getting that much abuse. There are plenty on here who know a thing or two and occasionally share it without getting shouted down. The forum's pretty tame. If you barely post at all and then on the eve of the first back game back post about one of United's best players picking up an injury, I think you'll have to expect a bit of skepticism.

Not just an injury, an out for the season injury.

2 major players.

I don't understand why you'd know someone who's ITK - therefore get a decent bit of intel - and what finally gets you to post on here after two years of waiting is news of a player being injured and potentially missing a mid-week game against Aston Villa.
The only thing I mainly receive is the line-up a day before.

It's normally not big news, however when one of our key players is rumoured to be out for the season, I'm just saying that I've seen the lineup and he's not in it tonight, along with Fleck. Not heard anything about Fleck's injury, hopefully nothing serious at all.

Like I said, I'd absolutely love it to be incorrect, but I've not received one incorrect lineup all season.

Heard about a few transfers in the past but they're already known about by then anyway, I don't go looking for the information.

Not everyone has the time/patience to deal with people's attitudes on forums so just nip on for a quick read now and again, enjoy Roy's view from it's not compulsory to post on here.
If you don't believe the information, fair enough, I won't lose sleep over whether someone on a forum believes what I say, just sharing information that I've been given.

Funny how our manager doesn't confirm your boast about missing players.....strange that, you'd think Wilder would be second in line, behind you naturally, to know who is or isn't injured?
Do you think he’s going to come out and say ‘yeah Jack has done his knee today, oh and Fleck will probably be missing too actually.’ on the eve of the first game back in 3 months?

It’s cards close to the chest time. You and your degree should really understand that m8.

I think that's fair, as long as it doesn't start getting personal i.e. pig wind up accusations.

Nobody knows that yet, not even Jack himself. They can’t scan it until the swelling goes down.

Opening post

“Don’t shoot the messenger but heard he’s done his knee and out for the season. Again could be BS, lets hope it’s not!“

Even before we were all medical experts due to Covid most already knew about swelling/scans.

Yeah hence why I’ve just said nobody knows that yet. I said that yesterday. I didn’t believe it until I did some digging because it just seemed too convenient to be true. But it is his knee and it’s potentially bad bad news. We’ll see.

Telegraph:

"It is anticipated that the setback will not prevent him from playing a role later on in the season and in the past he has recovered swiftly from injuries."

FUCKING GET IN

That would be better news than any win tonight.

Dunno how they can possibly know that when he doesn’t know himself. He’s got a big fuck off swollen knee that can’t yet be scanned to see the damage

Don't shit on my dreams. I don't want shit on my dreams....

It’s a proper shitter like isneet but we just have to get on with it. I’m more gutted for Jack that I am for us if it’s ACL, he was on the brink of an England call up

Considering the season is only like a month and a half long then if he is out it might just be for a week or so.

Me too. He's a great professional who's worked incredibly hard to get where he is, and this would be sickening timing for him.

If you've seen the line up , and I'm not doubting you , who are tonight's replacements for JOC and Fleck ?

Now all over Newsnow but Fleck is regarded as a doubt whereas O’Connell not long term injury.

It’s bollocks. Both fleck and JOC are starting tonight. This chabuddy g is probably a bored pig.

Multiple news sources are now reporting it.

gleadlessblades usually spot on with his info to be fair, when I heard him say it I did begin to wonder.

Sounds like Robinson in for JOC & Berge & Lundstram in midfield either side of Norwood.

Feel sorry for L Freeman, don't know what he has to do to be given a chance.

A lot less confident than I was with those 2 injuries, hopefully we can battle it out.

I've heard that Fleck is ok in the scheme of things, so if he doesn't start i imagine he's on the bench, or we're not risking him with a view to the weekend. I think Robinson will be ok to fill in for JoC, but (not his fault) he's not JoC, who can make the difference between one point or three. We tend to overload down the left quite a lot, especially first halves of games, and with Fleck also a doubt it's a blow for sure.

We wouldn’t play a midfield without a left sided player.
