ITV HIGHLIGHTS WTF?

ITV has been shit at presenting football since Keith Macklin was the commentator on YTV.
Perhaps if the players dressed in funny costumes and Cunt Cowell or Dim Davina gurned and shouted a lot they'd put some effort into it these days.

Keith Macklin - those were the days - football’s own Murray Walker - he was so bad sometimes that it made him fantastic.

He’d come out of the John Street tunnel and walk round the pitch to the scaffold TV camera tower in front of the pavilion. We loved him on the John Street terrace and chanted Macklin, Macklin as he walked past. He always waved and often came for a chat.

I have tried to be open in my thoughts about this review of the Championship but really? We seem to be treated by ITV as undeserving upstarts. I've bit my lip, held my tongue, reserved my judgment. But does anyone else feel like me that as current leaders, actually storming the Championship, we are still considered unworthy and the lucky boys by ITV? Minimal coverage of our matches, way down the play list. and little recognition??? Don't understand it, really. Pig In charge of the production is my only conclusion.

Not been watching, but were we way down the pecking order as we played Tuesday, so they played all the Wednesday matches first as most people will have seen the goals from the Tuesday matches already?

We're top by a single point. The 8th-placed team is only six points behind is. We aren't actually storming the division. We have a slim lead.

After 9 games Norwich and the Blades are the ones to catch. 4 point gap to third. As someone stated, Burnley in 5th are closer to relegation than to us. I consider that storming. I may be optimistic but what more do you want from the Blades?

The whole ITV team (Brian Moore (south), Gerald Sinstadt (Granada), Hugh Johns (Midlands), Keith (Yorks) and the bloke I can't remember from Anglia), were a pale shadow compared to the BBC crew at the time.
They managed to get the greatest of all (Ken W) to do some Tyne Tees stuff after he'd been replaced by Coleman at the beeb but he was an outlier in a pool of complete mediocrity.
Continue to be shite to this day!

I agree, I have watched most episodes, that is the normally the case. But apart from Sunderland game we have had little exposure. I may be being precious, I'd had some pop last night before watching and posting . Perhaps better to be under the radar so we don't have to worry come JTW.

When we played Sunderland the commentary appeared to be all about us, very little expectation or anything said about little old Sunderland.
Also on Talksport Danter abd Co talk like we’re the greatest thing and certain for top 2.

Sky commentator during the Norwich game Norwich leading 2-0 said Norwich are the stand out team in the division now and maybe Sheff Utd would argue with that ….well bloody right we would we were four points clear at the time.

Norwich were outplayed by Bristol City and Hu g on to win 3-2

There is nothing to fear from Norwich there defence is full of holes and Sky commentators can get to f***

Are you joking ? I don't go in for all this biased against us stuff but when we played sunlan I was shitting it by kick off time at this amazing front two of benzema and haaland that turned out to be josh sims and rod Stewart

No doubt they'll be another Narwich live in this season.

I have only watched a few minutes of the show since the season started and that is quite enough, it is phuckin awful, amateurish and unprofessional. To say we are the early pace setters you would think we don't exist, not really surprised though when you have ex Norwich player Dean Ashton co presenting it they were always going to get the lions share of coverage. Not got a clue who the obligatory woman presenter is either a more boring couple it is hard to imagine. I did think being a new show it would get better as the season progressed but no it gets worse.

When I think of ITV I think of their shoddy coverage of football in the late 80s early 90s and Elton Welsby, they never made any sense the matches they choose and never had live games at the start or end of season.

No wonder the shoddy outfit lost out to sky in 92
