ITV HIGHLIGHTS WTF?

I have tried to be open in my thoughts about this review of the Championship but really? We seem to be treated by ITV as undeserving upstarts. I've bit my lip, held my tongue, reserved my judgment. But does anyone else feel like me that as current leaders, actually storming the Championship, we are still considered unworthy and the lucky boys by ITV? Minimal coverage of our matches, way down the play list. and little recognition??? Don't understand it, really. Pig In charge of the production is my only conclusion.

I commented the same about the BBC News website, it's as though we didn't even play!
No doubt they'll be another Narwich live in this season.

Absolute shambles .

The less said about the show’s ‘anchor’ presenter as against the peerless Colin Murray the better . The clips are hurriedly shown with very little context , followed by a ridiculously banal series of questions and answers between her and her co-presenter .

Add to that the fact that it is broadcast after midnight begs the question as to why they why they took the trouble to secure the rights in the first place , since they obviously have such little regard for it .

It's so early that a 5 point gap to third is pretty bloody big. Burnley in 5th are closer to the relegation zone than us. So it's fair to say ourselves and Norwich are currently storming it.

I was going to say the same. I’ve always assumed they think people will have already seen the highlights from the previous day’s games somewhere else so focus on the more recent ones.

So that we can slag the pundits off for preferring Leeds/Forest/Norwich/(insert this season’s invented grudge) and not giving us all the attention that we crave.

Whilst I love to hear us being lauded on by the neutrals, at the minute I am happy for us to slip out of the spotlight.

Once upon a time we may have needed that bit of extra praise to aid our push, but we aren’t that declined and struggling team any more. We have a well grounded squad which is full to the brim with talent…and I strongly believe that they know what they are capable of.

Even the young lads coming in are already singing from the same hymn sheet. After last seasons finish it is a no brainier where the target is being set, but we still have the reined in mentality of beating the next one put before us.

We have always been the unfashionable underdogs and that’s fine by me. It takes any added pressure off us and keeps us doing what we do best.

And ITV…..I don’t care enough about organisations like this to know whether it’s the same ITV as back then……But I wouldn’t trust them fuckers since the fly by introduction of ITV Digital, I remember signing up and then waking one day to find that it ceased to exist. Tinpot arseholes.

ITV has been shit at presenting football since Keith Macklin was the commentator on YTV.
