Easy to treat him differently to the Academy lads and forget how old he is (or isn't).

Harrison Neal is 22. Boyes, Amissah and Brunt all hit 22 before Coulibaly hits 23.

No posts suggesting we bin these guys off, none of which are as close to the first team as Coulibaly.

We need to sell him. I don't really understand why we'd loan him out because he's not going to qualify for a new work permit if we offer him a new contract. Unless we can loan him out to a club in Europe where he'll play regularly.

What counts as an appearance? Does he need to get on the pitch or if he’s in the squad does that count even if he doesn’t play?

With 9 subs I can see him being on the mech at the least for a build of our games.

minutes played of total minutes could have played, I believe.

He wasn't good enough to play in the Championship. I find him getting minutes quite unlikely!

And I assume we couldn't offer him a new contract until the end of this season as he fails based on last one.

How can you say he's shown nothing? He's not even played. There was obviously a player there in that first season at Beerschott and I agree with others he did OK against Spurs.

I trust Hecky's judgement but to not even give him a run in cup games then keep him seems pointless and totally unfair on the lad.

I do think he could be a decent player but what makes you think he's going to be playing in the PL when he struggled to make benches in the Championship behind Fleck and Osborn?

He deserved more chances last season IMO.

Doesn't make a difference if they have? The fact we've offered them a contract would likely mean Coulibaly is behind them in the pecking order regardless of whether they accept or not.

If they reject, we'll likely replace them.
