6/10, showed some good things but quite tentative, difficult to work out exactly what sort of player he is. Didn't dribble too much (instruction?) nor does he seem like the ball winning sort who snaps into tackles, and we could do with him being at least one of the two

I think the point is "don't get carried' away. Looks promising, but the opposition he played against are non-league. I remember everyone thought Mouse would save us because he scored a couple of goals against Doncaster Rovers in pre-season.

7/10 for me. Yes only against National league but many of their players have com down from EFL and some our regulars didnt look as good as he did.

He was a key player first half when we were at our best. First game ,will only get better playing. Been training over a periode now getting to know the system. First game without Norwood starting since 1969 ,must have some trust in the lad. Well played.

I thought he did alright but I think he would suit a midfield with Norwood as well.

He hasn't got the range Norwood has but he does pick up the 2nd balls. He and osborn won back the ball quite easily without the shithousing their lot were doing.

I was expecting him to be absolutely dogshit since he's been at the club for ages and no-ones had a sight of him. But, credit to the lad, he looked ok. A couple of odd passes and could have been a bit more adventurous with his forward passes, but he should be well pleased with that performance
