Unfair, unreasonable and unjustified accusations. If only we could get the 17/18 version of Slav before he became a fraud and lost his bottle eh?
Motivation just happens to be one of THE MOST IMPORTANT aspects of management..........if a Manager can't do that then it's time he retired!I don’t think it has anything to do with the manager.
Should experienced players need a manager to motivate them ? If so I think it’s time they retired.
I disagree in the way it is being suggested( although perhaps not by you). Many want a blood and thunder man on the touch line, but motivation can come from believing that your manager is good and wanting to achieve the maximum for him.Motivation just happens to be one of THE MOST IMPORTANT aspects of management..........if a Manager can't do that then it's time he retired!
We could have the equivalent of Woody on the right and Reece on the left (I wish) but you'd need the pace of Billy Dearden in order to keep up with them.We must be the slowest team in the league, he needs his wingers ASAP.
The Youtube video showing them in training prior to the Coventry game I found very worrying; it begs the question as to whether the players buy into his methods. If they don't then I fear by the time this manager gets players in who do we'll be in League 1.There are some who are simply not open to any form of motivation and if they cannot self motivate then there is not much that can be done other than replacing them.
Did they really ? There wins against teams with nothing to play for Burnley dead rubberthey showed more enthusiasm and fight under hecky
We were shit under Hecky - as we were for the last 12 months under Wilder and so far under Slav. Most of our players don’t give a toss and several are simply not good enough. They did for Hecky
Probably a bit of both.Did we play better last 20 due to Slavs decisions and instructions or as a result of Coventrys changes?

We had a player on who has a serious well-developed footballing brain and skills far in excess of most of the squad put together, who was able to link play from a pretty static midfield and start to get things moving up front. So, instead of Coventry being able to put 3 or 4 men around any one of our pretty static midfield players they started to have something to think about defensively for a change and dropped back to cover. This gave space (and much needed inspiration/motivation) for Hourihane in particular to get his arse in gear.Probably a bit of both.
As I said, a bit of both. Due to Coventry's changes I'd say. McGoldrick didn't make any impression until Coventry changed shape and didn't press us so much as they had all game. We don't play fast enough to beat even a moderate press it is all pass it about at the back until someone eventually has to lump a high ball to Billy Sharp with predicted results.Did we play better last 20 due to Slavs decisions and instructions or as a result of Coventrys changes?
We have been treated to the best manager in years everyone who comes after him was always going to get this. If CW got 11/10 out of these players another manager would never hit the same levels as they aren’t his players etc. Have to stick with him so that he can get his own players and push them to their max.Beginning to think SJ peaked at Watford and Fulham and now like most of our players, he is on a downward spiral. Baffled by his formations, selections & subs. Why play Sharp as a lone striker? Sharp is too slow & small. Why bring on Osborn with Brewster & Freeman on the bench? Go and win the game. Bring on offensive players. Why has he only now realized what Basham brings to the team? Why play Brewster on the wing? Tactically, why do we play slowly & consistently recycle the ball backwards and sideways. Why is there a total lack of movement up-front. We are not stretching formations and creating space. Why is there a lack of good honest desire and passion from start to finish! Etc, etc, etc
The guy doesn’t appear to be a motivator, able to inspire and lead. From his interviews, comes over as deep thinker and serious. Makes you wonder how, or if he connects with the players? Because on thing is for sure. He ain’t connecting with most supporters. Speaks in riddles, command of English is poor, and his football like his personality is dull! Worrying.
Because despite our outgoings he's the only centre forward we have who isn't playing for BurtonWhy play Sharp as a lone striker? Sharp is too slow & small

To be fair, I’d have the twats in overnight too, until they bust a gut for the team from minute one, most players have been pathetic in their efforts.Had a read at his programme notes from Saturday. A couple of things stand out:
“The plan for the last 2 weeks was to take ourselves to a higher level” – Really? This 1st half on Saturday was pretty low IMO
“These are important weeks to build confidence” – The players look as short on confidence as Ive ever seen since Adkins
“We have to be more responsible, quicker, more solid and give 100% all the time” – Worrying he thinks the players are not giving 100% and to call that out in public…..question is why?
Also heard that he has the players coming in every day which allegedly isn’t going down very well amongst many. Maybe that’s a players issue but surely the key is getting the very best out of these players. These players look frustrated and miserable.
Whatever you think about Wilder he was a motivator – he had a connection with the fans and the players and had the respect of the players even if they werent the right players. Slav doesn’t strike me as a motivator – maybe it’s the players but sadly we are not in the luxurious position of selling the squad for millions and replacing it with ‘Slavs Team’
You know he's right thoughGET TO FUCK.
