Maybe they won't? Mardy arses will still find something to moan about... "that was never a minute! That twat just looked at his phone and didn't cry"!....If trouble at the grounds was a reason for the decision maybe the efl will send out a directive telling clubs not to do anything to mark her passing at their next games?
There will be plenty of other ways for those who want to show respect to her passing over the next week without doing it again at the match
How do you mean we're funny? Whadda you mean we're funny? What like we're a clown? We amuse you is that it?You’re a funny guy
I can see you're a goodfeller. How do you mean we're funny? Whadda you mean we're funny? What like we're a clown? We amuse you is that it?
They are at home. Cos the football was off.And I thought this thread was about our match today being postponed....There is some vitriol being displayed on individuals personal views which imo is better left at home. Each to their own et al. Nuff said!
I watched the cricket interspersed with golf. No problem for meThey are at home. Cos the football was off.
Aye, I actually now wish the match had gone ahead so this lot weren't filling their time by writing this load o'shiteAnd I thought this thread was about our match today being postponed....There is some vitriol being displayed on individuals personal views which imo is better left at home. I've been dipping in and out of the cricket, a bit like England.I watched the cricket interspersed with golf. No problem for me![]()
I’m looking forward to hearing that she’s over her vast personal fortune to the public purse, because she loves us all so much.
There is always a narrative round these things that is to be maintained despite reality being very much the contrary. But that’s the bit I don’t really understand. Let’s say 95% of crowds up and down the country respected a minutes silence etc and 5% didn’t, then so what? What does it matter? It’s a free country.
The authorities/media etc are just worried that some negativity would go against the notion that all of the country should be in mourning.
Like I said elsewhere, as a nation we worry far too much about things like that.
We pride ourselves on diversity when it suits us but then on occasions like this we are all expected to be sheep.
We can’t have it both ways.
Had the game gone ahead today and there was a bit of booing, I’d have forgotten all about it by 3.01
There were a few like that in Morrisons earlier but I think they’d just switched a few aisles around.Personally I don’t know anyone who’s in mourning because of this. Nicholas Witchell BBC Royal correspondant stated on TV that there will be people out there “ disorientated, confused, rudderless”, I’m sure there are the streets are full of sad cases, but because of the Queens death ? What ideological hyperbolic garbage.
I wouldn’t push the ‘parenting’ angle too hard if I were youNo I just feel pity for someone making light of a 96 year old mum , grandmother and great grandmother dying , silly boy
I said it was about policing all along.![]()
English Football League set to recommence on Tuesday following death of Queen Elizabeth II
EFL to recommence on Tuesday; there may be resourcing issues, particularly in respect of policing, associated with some fixtures that will need to be discussed and resolved on a fixture-by-fixture basis over the period ahead; National League confirms fixtures are to resume from Mondaywww.skysports.com
I've heard of you Wilson.I wouldn’t push the ‘parenting’ angle too hard if I were you![]()
What have you heard, Shane ?I've heard of you Wilson.
We do not actually need to ‘get rid’ of the monarchy.
It is not a matter of this lot or a president. (In actual fact if you look at the way some of our PMs have acted they believe that are presidents anyway.)
We simply make sure this royal house, or what is now politely or is it politically called Windsor, opt out of the vastly inflated soap opera they inhabit, give us back what is ours, take a back seat well out of the way and the limelight, behave themselves and follow the far better examples of the royal families in such backward countries as Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden.
To be fair, it's like a scene from 'The Walking Dead' most Monday mornings. There were a few like that in Morrisons earlier but I think they’d just switched a few aisles around.
Less than £2 a yearFinancial support for the monarchy. The idea of supporting a family and all its hangers on through a birth right gets my goat, regardless of the Insignificant cost you'll throw back at me. It's wrong in principle.
Still poor value and still wrong in principle.Less than £2 a year
Not as poor in value and wrong as the fookin council tax!Still poor value and still wrong in principle.

Public holiday coming up for the funeral. Therefore it will be held on a Friday, or a Monday, because that causes less disruption for commerce and manufacturing.
The country cannot afford to mess with banking, finance and people who make stuff!
That how important sporting events are seen to be?
Get it right - 96.I would have thought it was (fairly) obvious?
Match postponed ; Media wall to wall trite shite
I’m intrigued how / why you’ve dragged yourself away from the coverage of an 86 year olds death ?
