Like the tactical stuff halfway through. Some focus on youth as seen in the other thread.

- looking forward to it
- lads in good spirits
- scored 3 at home again
- been creating chances
- should've scored more away games
- know the importance of it
- can we keep the performance right and go and win a game of football
- forget the league table
- need to focus on winning the game
- did it in the last game: we beat Walsall - that's what he said - obviously confident about the weekend
- first half performance was exceptional - it was were they terrible, or did we make them look terrible. Oldham for instance got a draw at Burton - wonder if we're playing better than sometimes we're given credit for - maybe
- grit and resilience to go and win the game
- need to get performance right go and win
- just focus on the next game
- we know that everyone gets nervous, everyone gets edgy end of the season - I think this is where experience counts, you've been through it - also youth can help as they can be fearless
- take a lot of heart from last performance
- some excellent football
- some really good last ditch defending - McEveley, Done stand out
- shows the desire and the passion - it does
- level with us on points
- they can change formations
- can be direct
- can we stop long balls at source - one of the many things Sammon is good at
come on Nige it makes sense - it's about principles of play can you get the ball, can you move it quickly, can you move it calmly, can you penetrate, can you play forward, can you break down the opposition, got to have purposeful possession - I think the players are too calm and not quick enough - and have been all season - more haste less speed is fine but they've rarely struck the right balance
- wants us to build from the back but has to be done at a quick tempo - it does - see above
- is sticking at 3-5-2 helping us bc we're not adjusting
- talks through 1-4-4-2, then closing up, going solid, but drawing too many
- want to dominate the ball more
- lots of crosses
- lots penalty area entries
- again repeats playing forward quickly, calmly, play through the thirds, get yourself, get some width, get the ball in the box, can you penetrate, can you score
- can you get the ball back as quickly you can
- if not drop to a designated shape which is compact, and then go and press from there to go and get the ball back, see if you can counter or keep good possession
- working on Billy and Ché as first line of defence
- need to keep feeding Billy
- Flynny scored, Ché has too so not over-reliant on Billy
- Ché linked up well with Billy
- they have to set the press up for us
- [next part is the video in another thread as well]
- we've got Adams, Sharp, DCL
- DCL 18 got athleticism, phenomenal on training ground
- desperate to score
- compares him to McNulty doing more in fewer game - not sure that's true but really shows how keen he is on him, and carries on a club tradition of having a go at McNulty

- young players will make mistakes
- mentions DCL's offside - he really needs to do better than that, hope it comes together for him because he could do a lot for us
- Q: do you want Reed to have more time A: wait and see, but it's a small group so every opportunity
- on the ball great range of passing - has to learn defensively
- all the players are going to learn
- Reed, DCL good characters, Ben too
- maybe Ben should've been with first team too - sounds very positive I agree bags of potential and maybe some much needed creativity
- want hunger desire and athleticism
- McGahey excellent - played it out from the back, confident, good positions, getting in a better athletic condition
- Bash pretty consistent season - someone has to break up the play - ackowledges his limitations with passing - tried a magnificent 50 yard cross field ball last week...into the New South Stand
- very good position for him right of the three centre hal...
