Injuries

Injuries isn't an excuse tonight the Rotherham manager said they were carrying a lot of injuries and had a recent tough schedule.

Injuries are an excuse for us since everyone who comes back another player goes off injured.

If Rotherham have had up to 13 players injured this season already then fair enough.

If our fitness coach, who was hired in the summer, goes out at night: during conversation when he's asked what he does for a living.

I bet he says "I stack shelves at asda" or "I'm a street cleaner".

Fair enough. Another one out for 8 weeks then.
He’d been trying to stretch something out regularly from the first half. Didn’t look comfortable.

I noticed that he was walking around a lot and bending down and touching his Achilles. Maybe stretching a calf? Not sure, but he was well off it. Wouldn't expect to see him Saturday.

Fair enough, he was most definitely trying on multiple occasions to stretch something out though.

I'd much rather it wasn't feeling something and it going later on from playing on, we've had enough of that.

He may have shat himself. :D

Fleck and McBurnie will likely be out even after the World Cup now you'd think then which is GREAT

Seems Coulibaly could be ready to go in January. Not sure how good he is but definitely the “type” that we need

We go again. A mixed bag of news on the injury front this week.

Bad news:
Against Rotherham; Fleck took a knock, McBurnie rolled his ankle and Ahmedhodzic went off with illness. I don't think we'll risk them at Cardiff, but who knows.
Doyle still hasn't returned following his calf issue and Heckingbottom has confirmed that RND & Brewster are long-term injuries.

Good news:
Provided there's no setbacks Lowe, Berge, Coulibaly and Bogle should all be ready to go on 10th December.

O McBurnie - 10th December 2022 - ankle

A Ahmedhodzic - 10th December 2022 - illness

J Fleck - 10th December 2022 - knock

T Doyle - 10th December 2022 - calf injury

J Bogle - 10th December 2022 (2 months) - minor knee operation

M Lowe - 10th December 2022 (3 months) - hamstring

S Berge - 10th December 2022 (3 months) - ankle ligaments

I Coulibaly - 10th December 2022 (4 months) - knee ligaments

J O'Connell - January 2023 (2.5 years) - knee

D Jebbison - February 2023 (4 months) - ankle ligaments

R Brewster - March 2023 (4 months) - hamstring surgery

R Norrington-Davies - March 2023 (5 months) - hamstring surgery

If we can get through Cardiff with no injuries and any sort of a result I'll be pretty pleased with that as an outcome.

I know Hecky likes to keep his cards close to his chest but when we get quotes like we are hopeful that xx will be bsck for xx match, in other words 50/50 or even 60/40, for some reason they never seem to make it

Really suprising how bad/lengthy Doyle's injury has become
Also some players come back a lot quicker from injury ie JLT/Osborn seem to have rushed back (as they are 'our' players?) but Ciaran Clark seems to have to have a full MRI scan just to run down the South Stand touchline as a non appearing sub (maybe because we are a lot more careful with other teams players?)
