If those photos in the twitter posts above were taken this week then the pitches look in mint condition and extremely unlikely to cause injury!

Apparently Injuries happend on the 4 g inside ir out ,it's not the facilities it's the players that are made out of chalkIf those photos in the twitter posts above were taken this week then the pitches look in mint condition and extremely unlikely to cause injury!
The manager says they are the sole cause of our ridiculous injury list all season. Obviously he's right. Just like plying Berge deep and starting Sharp every game. Mustn't doubt his decision making. If those photos in the twitter posts above were taken this week then the pitches look in mint condition and extremely unlikely to cause injury!
Or maybe something else?Apparently Injuries happend on the 4 g inside ir out ,it's not the facilities it's the players that are made out of chalk
Well let me know ,highly trained and strung players get injured shock, .manager Blames owt but procedure, shockOr maybe something else?
No idea what that means. We have a shocking injury record. Who do you blame?Well let me know ,highly trained and strung players get injured shock, .manager Blames owt but procedure, shock
Procedure ,and. Players made of glassNo idea what that means. We have a shocking injury record. Who do you blame?
Until he tried to jog as he was coming to the touch line and he was obviously in pain soon as he put weight on itHopefully, the fact Illiman wanted to stay on the pitch suggests that his injury isn't too serious - doesn't it?![]()
Ok. Thanks for your explanation. We can obviously rule the second part out as complete and utter rubbish.Procedure ,and. Players made of glass
Why's that then me owd muckerOk. Thanks for your explanation. We can obviously rule that out as complete and utter rubbish.
Because largely the same players, playing the same formation, working hard for 90 mins every game under Wilder saw 1 injury. JOC. Mi owd mucker. Why's that then me owd mucker
A lot of these players had almost no injuries under Wilder.Procedure ,and. Players made of glass
Be back in 2024 then. For 60 mins.
Body's break down Stevens is over thirty , injuries happen it's all part and parcel.Because largely the same players, playing the same formation, working hard for 90 mins every game under Wilder saw 1 injury. JOC. Mi owd mucker.
They were younger ,injuries can happen at any time ,football contact sport injuriesA lot of these players had almost no injuries under Wilder.
If that's your team for Saturday, what's your team for Friday night?Afternoon all,
Mixed bag of news on the injury front.
In short, we unexpectedly lost Baldock & Stevens to midweek 'muscle injuries' in training, prior to the win over Stoke.
During the win, Ndiaye picked up a knock to his knee - though this isn't thought to be serious and he reportedly trained today.
In more positive news, Max Lowe returned from a side strain & Ben Osborn from a hamstring injury.
Bogle completed 90 minutes and didn't seem to gas out. In fact, he was probably our MOTM.
From the pre-Hull match press conference, Heckingbottom revealed the following:
Full training: Oli McBurnie
Back 'on the grass:' Ciaran Clark, John Fleck
Out for weeks: George Baldock, Enda Stevens
Revised guesses below:
O McBurnie - early-February 2023 (4-6 weeks) - aggravated ankle ligaments
C Clark - mid-February 2023 (4 weeks) - hamstring strain
J Fleck - mid-February 2023 - swelling around previously broken leg (3 months)
G Baldock - late-February 2023 - unknown muscular injury (5 weeks)
E Stevens - late-February 2023 - unknown muscular injury (5 weeks)
R Brewster - March 2023 (5 months) - hamstring surgery
R Norrington-Davies - March 2023 (5 months) - hamstring surgery
J O'Connell - unlikely to return (2.5 years+) - knee
My team for Saturday
.........................Foderingham
..............Anel..........Egan.......Robinson
...Bogle..............................................Lowe
............Berge......Norwood.....McAtee
..............................Ndiaye
............................Jebbison
Subs: Davies, Basham, Coulibaly, Osborn, Brooks, Doyle, Sharp.
Personally, with the next league fixture over a fortnight away, I wouldn't be for risking McBurnie. We've come this far, so we might as well be patient and get him back to 100%. Particularly with Jebbison's form.
If there are any doubts over Ndiaye (PH suggested not), we should probably rest him. If that is the case, I would bring Doyle into midfield and push McAtee further up the pitch. We need to give Sharp a break, he's playing too much and is struggling to make an impact.
It's difficult to justify the selection of Berge right now, but Hull like to play it out from the back and he's usually (though not recently) quite effective in pressing high up the field. Regardless, we need to get him on the ball in more advanced areas. If he's doing his invisible man impersonation, we need to hook him much earlier.
The bench looks thin defensively and up front.
Fingers crossed for an injury-free game, though concerns remain over training - whether its the facilities or the methods, something needs to improve quickly.
And most of our injuries weren't in game contact injuries. They were ligament/hamstring issues . Blame the regime not the fragile players. They aren't. This managers record throughout his career in looking after players is absolutely appalling. They were younger ,injuries can happen at any time ,football contact sport injuries![]()
So your saying it's the procedure of hecky ,I don't think all the gym and weights actually help players to much ,I believe in aerobic ,and hard stamina work for footballers because at the end of the day it's a running game with passesAnd most of our injuries weren't in game contact injuries. If it was obviously the fault of PH and the staff wouldn't the many experienced well established players in the squad have spoken up by now?
If that's your team for Saturday, what's your team for Friday night?
So to be clear do you think a lot of our injury issues are on management?Ok

Stevens as been injured most of this season, he cant keep fit..Body's break down Stevens is over thirty , injuries happen it's all part and parcel.![]()
I think injuries are part and parcel ,as for Brewster he's a crock as is one or two more .So to be clear do you think a lot of our injury issues are on management?
I think there's a lot to be said for this, especially if injury reduction is anything like the absolute priority it should be, with it being the only thing that can stop usOk

We are vulnerable at CCB & even worse at LCB.Afternoon all,

Clark's not far off though as he's "back on the grass" as they say. Not sure if that's full contact training but it's not far off RND back March I'd guess which isn't that far off now. Clark is injury prone granted, but if he is back soon then he can cover centre back too. Bash is generally fit and is fit now so he can step in for any of the three, if two suddenly got injured though we would be short as you acknowledge but Egan has played almost every match for us since he joined so that bodes well and no I've not curses it if it happens now! Stevens can cover LCB but he is becoming injury prone in his last season or two.We are vulnerable at CCB & even worse at LCB.
Only Bash on the bench for 3 positions.
Any more injuries to CBs and I'm not sure who'd be named otb for central defender.
We could do with McBurnie on the bench , not just for his attacking but for defending aerial balls.
JoC , almost written off
RND , hamstring long term
Clark , recurrent hamstring
Stevens , muscle injury , "weeks" ??
Any more injuries to CBs and we are looking at going 442 or teaching Berge to defend aerial balls.
I wonder if Coulibaly can fill in ?
Are there any others tall & strong enough to play CB ?
