As for selling, we would have to be mad. It would be a move of Mike McDonald levels of stupidity. i.e. make a quick buck at the expense of getting promoted. For the youngsters on the board he sold our best players mid season in a season where we would have been promoted and also probably got to the FA cup Final!
We were third. Ahead of the teams below but trailing the leaders. I think if we’d been second and 13 points clear, MM would have held his nerve.

Ndaiye is going no where he wants to play in premier league we'll be there next season ( fingers crossed) Everton won't be ( fingers, toes, legs arms everything crossed). How many seasons since 93/94 have they sporned their way out of relegation? There won't be a Hans Segars helping them this season, can't stand the scouse c***s.

If he goes to Everton he will still be playing Championship football next season, just on a much bigger salary.

Why would he go to everton who may be relegated?

Also why would a team battling for survival risk their budget on an unproven championship player?

And why would we sell him for 25/30m when we'd need to spend that amount or more for a replacement in the premier league.

And why is there a new thread? 😂
Maybe I'm naive but I'd like to think that he's reasonably happy at Bramall Lane, for now.

In an amazing new stadium, with a huge following and most likely very strong promotion contenders.

Ps I hope he doesn’t go.

Don't forget he stole 2 parts of the ground for himself and has refused to sell them back to the club at a fair price.
STOLE If he has STOLEN the ground as you say its not his to sell is it? If it is his he is under no obligation to sell it is he .If as you say he has stolen the land from us then lets take it back simple really .

Everton need some experienced players to grind out some results, not a kid who’s unproven at PL level. They’ve got very little to spend and spending it on Ndiaye would be reckless and stupid even for them. And if he’s actually for sale, better clubs than fucking bottom of the league, managerial merry-go-round, second rate scousers will be interested.

Yeah will be a good day when they go down, they’ve cheated their way out of it for a long time. Just need West Ham to join them.

It was a side bang in form, I still believe if McDonald holds his nerve we go up. Its also the ramifications that Donachie takes the offer to leave and Spackman walks because the board sold out.

It was still third. I still blame Spackman, to a great extent and still think that a decent manager would have had that side in the top two. I thought that at the time and that will be my opinion until I die. It’s not like Spackman proved me wrong and showed he was a good manager.

I don't really care anymore

I've realised that it doesn't matter how much money gets tipped into United it won't make a blind bit of difference.

There will always be a financial crisis looming no matter what

Same as Sheffield, the government could hand them a trillion pound grant and pay every succesful company worldwide to relocate here and Sheffield would still find a way to fuck it up

To give people some type of clue regards the validity of the Everton interest.

Just type in "Everton forum N'Diaye" into google.
It only comes up showing that they had an interest (a few year back) in signing Badou N'Diaye.

Hardly any Everton fans will even know who Iliman N'Diaye is
and they won't be impressed, as they see it, wasting £15 million on an untested inexperienced lower division player.

Anyhow on the main GrandOldTeam Everton forum there's not even a single thread regards possibly signing our player.
Think that tells you everything.
Believe me their scout knows who he is because he was watching him at the game I was at. The Everton fans didn’t know who DCL was and probably thought it was a waste a money, fortunately for them the scouts thought differently.

Made me laugh, many fans of PL clubs do seem like a separate breed with their lack of knowledge and sense of entitlement.

Anything non PL related doesn't even register, there's such a massive disrespect.
In most cases the 3 teams that come up form the Championship are never rated and are automatically (with no knowledge) hot favourites for instant relegation.
So the very fact that N'Diaye has only made ONE appearance in the Premier League means he's currently a nobody.

The World Cup commentary kind of proved this. They kept repeating that Sarr of Watford is the best player in the Championship
and our player N'Diaye hardly had a single mention....which in many ways helped us keeping him out of the spotlight.

My big fear was that N'Diaye would have a great World Cup...score a spectacular goal and become an overnight sensation making him fashionable.
However he was often sub and played little bit of matches, so isn't currently a regular/ main player in the Senegal side.
Daft as it sounds his low key World Cup means there's less likely to be big bids or interest, so he is more likely to sign the contract we offer him.
Difference is the managers and scouts do know. Ramsdale was plying his trade in lower divisions but goalkeeper coaches and scouts knew he was good, relegations made little difference, at this point he had the respect of England coaches at youth level.

If I was Ndiaye and on a (reported) £4000 per week at United and Everton came calling with £40k - £50k per week offer, I would be off like a shot. Championship bound / second rate scousers or not. I would even whistle the Z cars theme in my sleep.

Hopefully the speculation will come to nothing and he will see out the season with us.

Well yes, except we can offer him that salary fairly soon and he seems very happy here. Admittedly he might make a short term loss that's pretty significant.

It'd be impatient (and possibly naive) to take the first offer, when it's a terrible career move - though footballers career can end at any time I suppose.

In with agents on every continent, if he says something he's generally correct. I can't recall him being wrong on anything off top of my head.
Hes wrong a lot... he posts about a player linked with 10 clubs and 1 bounds to be right.... player going arsenal.... arsenal.... ended up at Chelsea.

I agree massively and think spackman has had an easy ride consequently because of the sales.

He was a poor manager.

That team was the best in the league but were third and that was down to him. If memory serves I saw us get beat at Charlton in December 97 and that summed that team up.

Flattering to deceive and I can understand the sales as promotion was unlikely when it should have been likely.

Was it Jamie Hoyland?

Illiman has said he wants to play for Marseille in France. I think his next move will be there or another top French team.

There's no money left in the club at the moment. The current owner either can't or won't put additional money in and creditors of (apparently) varying sizes are not being paid.

That is not a healthy business. If the facility existed to borrow money against future earnings to pay these bills it would have been used. Takeover or not, the finances are extremely unhealthy which is a massive risk
There are a few things that support your conclusion.

I know the United World bit isn't captivating for all but you look at what is happening there and they share similar concerns that the taps have been turned off.

We have 2 clubs pushing for promotion, one far closer (Blades) than the other (Beerschot) and another in the relegation spots (Chateauroux).

I know the window isn't shut, so it's easy to jump the gun, but you'd expect all three to be looking to bolster, two to push on and cement their elevation, the other to boost themselves to stave off relegation.

Beerschot has ended one loan deal and sold another player back to Bolivia. When you subtract teenagers listed in there, their squad is just 22 including a goalkeeper that has fallen out with the club. They had no strikers on the bench for the last game.

Chateauroux have sent back one, granted unsuccessful, loan player and have yet to recruit anyone with the suggestion United World won't also bring anyone in who is 27 or over for fear of it not being a good financial move. Their squad size is just 22, reduced from around 30 the prior year

Blades as you know sent back Khadra.

So net, the group has sent 4 players out, made around €150,000 on one sale and spent nothing on incomings.

In Belgium they were under embargo and only just exited. We are under embargo and Chateauroux are under some salary restrictions which seems to lead to a one in, one out arrangement, though arguably this is because their budget was too high and they can't now exceed - €7,500,000 per annum.

Despite good intentions and some sound decisions in holding assets on the playing side, without much insight, it does feel that he's running or has run out of cash.

He may get lucky, with either a sale or promotion, but it has all started to feel unnecessarily uncomfortable very quickly.

Not concerned about Everton whatsoever.

Forest, on the other hand...

Forest may throw lots of money the way of Utd and Ndiaye to get a deal done but I'm not convinced he'd get many games there apart from when they rotate. I'm also not sure he'd fit as well into a front 3 as his current role as a second striker - I don't think he's naturally a central striker (#9) and he wasn't as effective playing of the right in the World Cup, albeit against top level opponents (and England!).

However, I can't see him or particularly his agents worrying to much about that if they convince Utd to sell and offer him £80k/week.

I really don't think he'd go to Everton which could hinder his career. If an established top half club came in, even Brighton, then that would make so much more sense for him.

Iliman always seems happy with the club and fans - I really hope he'll stay at least another season.
