I'm not a McCabe fan at all but we also oversold it (Slew, Mellis etc)We undersold sold talent early with McCabe in charge.

I'm not listening to him until he starts calling everyone a cuntIn with agents on every continent, if he says something he's generally correct. I can't recall him being wrong on anything off top of my head.
Why do you think there is a risk of us going pop?
The Prince set out his plan for what would happen if we didn't get promoted this year a while ago, we sell assets and invest in young players. Hecky has been doing that already bringing a few through "just in case"
Keeping Berge, Brewster, McBurnie and any other big earners is a risk when you go down but getting those wages off will be manageable?
This one clearly knows his stuff. A prime example of an entitled Premier League club supporter.I did a search an Everton forum search via google and only Badou N'Diaye came up.
Fair point....if you go into the Everton forums and use the search....then it's brought up some Illiman N'Diaye comments.

I agree, he did just that. The issue is that we sold no asset in the summer, and we currently have a cash shortfall. I suspect we thought Berge would go. Didn't happen, we're £15-20m worse off, and are now struggling to pay bills. Maybe the gamble will pay off as we get promoted, but it's just that - we've gambled. For sure, Sander wouldn't be here under McCabe, but I doubt we'd be under a transfer embargo.
How much will it take to prise Jordan Slew from you Kevin?Rare occasions we "oversold" under his tenure. We didn't get that much for Slew and it only looks a good deal in hindsight because he flopped.
3 years apart from the Mellis and Slew transfers and McCabe still sold them for a £1mill each. Transfer asking price barely went up when Kev was around. As long as the offer wasn't under £1million he was keen to do business.
I agree mate we were always in a safe place .The alarm bells ranged for me when McCabe had to step in when players looked like going without wages which was down to the Prince not putting in cash he promised. McCabe was always careful sometimes to careful with the clubs cash but we never had a situation like we have at the moment. It's a risk averse stewardship. Yes sometimes you have to speculate to accumulate, but if we have no takeover, and manage to fuck up our promotion, then we'll be in deep doo dah next season, that's for sure. Under McCabe, it never felt like the club weren't going to be kept afloat.
Carlton Blade mentioned the other day that he's reckoned one club will go bust in a big way soon, and it could well be us if things don't go as planned over the next few months. Say what you like about the time under McCabe, but we knew we were skint, and budgeted appropriately. It never felt like we would 'pop'.
McCabe in charge Berge never gets signed in the first place.
We sign Callum Robinson, Ben Osborn and Luke Freeman only.
On the counterside, would McCabe have locked Wilder and Duffy in a room with a 12 pack of Peroni, and tell them not to come out until they'd settled their argument?

£30m plus won’t be silly once we’re promoted. This is a non starter, we will have no incomings (obvs) and no outgoings this Jan, the money owed for the trf fees will be paid this week via a loan agreement to raise the funds...only a silly offer for illiman would be considered(£30m+)
You are right McCabe would not have signed him but if he had I dont think it would have been on the tick.McCabe in charge Berge never gets signed in the first place.

Woah someone who's done a slight bit of research! Better than our local journosTo give people some type of clue regards the validity of the Everton interest.
Just type in "Everton forum N'Diaye" into google.
It only comes up showing that they had an interest (a few year back) in signing Badou N'Diaye.
Hardly any Everton fans will even know who Iliman N'Diaye is
and they won't be impressed, as they see it, wasting £15 million on an untested inexperienced lower division player.
Anyhow on the main GrandOldTeam Everton forum there's not even a single thread regards possibly signing our player.
Think that tells you everything.
I doubt it, I think Duffy was going to get offloaded or barely played since Wilder switched to a flat 3 in midfield.
It's just been confirmed on Talksport radio that Everton have no money to spend in the JTW.
If they want to make signings then they need to be creative and have equivalent sales lined up too.
Selling Jordan Pickford would give them a decent transfer kitty but as he's been their best player....they don't think Everton would dare sell Pickford.
The trouble is by the sounds of it we still owe money on the players mentioned . So selling them would only enable us to pay (hopefully) what we owe on them . May be even then with the players contract running down we might not get what we owe on them . Lets just hope we can retain our players and secure a return to the prem and may be we will be able to pay off our debts . The trouble is we have a ageing team which will be in need of a new influx of new young talent just hope our guys at Shirecliffe can supply us with some or our new owners are willing and ABLE to spend some cash .Why do you think there is a risk of us going pop?
