Daft as it sounds his low key World Cup means there's less likely to be big bids or interest, so he is more likely to sign the contract we offer him.

You're right. It does sound daft, because scouts at major clubs are not going to base their interest in a player on whether some football commentator thinks highly of them or not.

Selling Ndiaye would be a big mistake,. we are going for promotion, Everton could get relegated from the premier league.
His valuation would double if we got into the prem and does well.

That's nothing new. He's just repeating what the prince and Hecky have said over and over again.

We won't even consider selling any players unless a player meets our valuation. It's that simple
and even if we do receive a massive bid we'd still require an adequate replacement.

To his credit, HRH has been very strong on this with Ramsdale being the only departure of note. The club could easily have folded and accepted low-ball offers for Berge, Ndiaye, Egan, Lowe etc. massively impacting the quality of the side.

Cant see Ndiaye going to Everton when we are so close to going up and them going the other way

Everton, as far as I am aware are under suspicion of FFP. They are not going to be splashing the cash. Hence the bargain basement signings recently. They need to sell to buy. Its a non-story

Don't forget he stole 2 parts of the ground for himself and has refused to sell them back to the club at a fair price.

Define "fair." We're not privy to that information as far as I'm aware and it doesn't seem like the Prince would have been able to buy them at a reasonable price, regardless.

The fact that negotiations between the two parties broke down because of "unreasonable demands" from McCabe's side makes me suspect this is what happened. However, I agree with you that we cannot know what was actually offered/expected, but my original point stands - He stole 2 parts of the ground for himself.

Whilst that is true, there are certainly some 'top' managers (cough-Lamp - cough-ard) who treat real life football like a game of Championship Manager.

He didn't "steal" them, he had previously bought them and is the legitimate owner.

I'm sure the Prince could have purchased them if he really wanted to.

McCabe is a property developer and ransom strips will be engrained in his DNA

I'm not a McCabe fan at all but we also oversold it (Slew, Mellis etc)
We didn’t sell Mellis. He was poached by Chelsea’s academy and they paid us £600k compensation, which would rise to £1m if he played a first team game for him.

It'd be madness for us to sell him in the position we're in and equally mad for him to go to Everton.

I think we have to resign ourselves to the inevitability that he'll leave in the next couple of seasons.

Either we fail to go up and he leaves or we go up, he plays a season of Premier League football for us then he leaves for considerably more money than Everton are offering and will likely sign for a much better club than them.
I think that sums it up mate .Why would he sign for them ?He would be back in the championship again next season .Plus us selling him would make our own plans for our club much harder to achieve and could scupper our chances of promotion . No winners selling him .

Lampard gone, Illy is going nowhere
I doubt that makes any difference - there is no way that Frank was doing the scouting and buying of players. Everton are supposedly buying Danjuma from Villarreal....still expect that to go through even though Lampard has gone.

Doomsday scenario for you.....Hecky to Everton and takes Ndaiye with him ...yhihf 😛😉😘

Not be going now Everton Sack Lampard - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63610629
His 35 point average over 38 games might just be enough to keep them up!

I've always seen them as a hard working side who at one point we aspired towards but crikey they're now a walking advertisement for how to piss your money away. Ancelotti leaving for Real Madrid set the ball rolling (can't blame him for going) then appointing Rafa (do the Everton board live under a rock?) and Lampard (vastly inexperienced, achieved nothing as a manager) has set them back years. Who other than an interim Duncan Ferguson is going to take the job? Is Chris Wilder busy?

The fans are an entitled bunch considering they've won nothing since 1995 (sounds familiar...) but what makes them so special that they can't be relegated? Villa, Southampton, Wolves, Leicester, Newcastle, West Ham have all played Championship football in the not so distant past and are all the sort of clubs you'd place them alongside.

I hate entitled premier league fans. Most of them know feck all about football outside of their moneyed bubble. Hence the comment about Illiman being injured etc.

As for selling, we would have to be mad. It would be a move of Mike McDonald levels of stupidity. i.e. make a quick buck at the expense of getting promoted. For the youngsters on the board he sold our best players mid season in a season where we would have been promoted and also probably got to the FA cup Final!

Regardless of the ownership saga, the board has to hold tight this January. 22 million is small potatoes.

And they’ve just sacked their manager…I’m calling it a non-story too

Funnily enough I was thinking how great it would be for if they went for Kompany and scuppered Burnley…and that also seems a realistic option for them to me. He’d be perfect for them.

Can’t see Everton being attractive enough, especially with the sacking of their manager. Further as much as Iliman is terrific for us, I don’t think he is the answer to their current predicament, for me it’s just paper/clickbait talk
