If we do go up, and if we do end up as the footballing arm of Tingo Inc, then given that one of Dozy's stated aims is building support for the club in Africa then surely he'd offer one of Africa's brightest young talents whatever money his agent wants to keep him here. Just don't ask where that money might be coming from, or whether it "exists" in the traditional sense.

It was his left hip that he landed on as he scored. The defender clattered him. Looks like he will be fine for Satdi.

I hope that isn’t serious. He was holding his groin. Not good at all.
Was definitely his hip. Pretty sure it was tiredness combined with a bump. He'd just run and crossed (poorly) when he went down.

Ndiaye's agent warming up potential suitors as a result of our poor form?
Seems odd timing.

Weren't we also recently confident about paying the EFL the outstanding transfer monies? 20th January we were placed under embargo wasn't it? 53 days ago and we're still under it. Money buys you players, bullshit buys you time.

If we can't get at least 20m then just fucking keep him

Or get him on a new deal with a 25m release clause and let him leave straightaway

Depends how desperate we might be for money

(Forget 2nd part of my post there, LJB is right)

We will be quite desperate presumably but how about selling everyone else we can to try and make up for it, only bringing in loans and frees, appointing a proper manager and hoping that's enough?

Berge, Bogle and Jebbison could fetch around 20m maybe. None of them are vital like Ndiaye (or Anel)

Then we might be able to put out a team like this

Wes
Baldock Anel Egan RND
Norwood ???????
?????? Ndiaye McAtee
McBurnie

Big stretch though I guess because we'd have to pay for new contracts for one or two and pay to sack PH, before funding any new signings

Starting to think we might be a bit fucked...

If we don't get promoted and don't get taken over, Baldock, Anel, Egan, RND, Norwood & McBurnie wouldn't be at BDTBL.

Everton & West Ham aren't in the greatest positions he needs to be playing Premiership football. Presuming we go up, usual relegation clauses in place however keeping Ndiaye at the rate he has progressed is as good as signing a new player, no transfer fees to worry about. Easily could be offering £3million+ a season in wages and in return buyout clause too. For me that would be a small price to pay to secure some decent contract. We could also look to secure the future of the squad. Realistically unless Jebbo and Brewster get 100% fit by Pre-season we will be a bit light up top. If we keep the core of the side together, we probably need another striker if Billy retires, and possibly LCB depending on how that goes. However we don't need to be breaking the bank. £10million in 2 positions and £10 million set aside for topping up wages

Article this morning saying that Ndiaye has had a dozen PL clubs contact him over a possible move 😮

I thought promotion might entice him to stay on with release clauses in place. If that report is true I think he’s off. The only good news that may come from this is the fee may rise depending on how serious all these supposed bidders are

He seems a decent lad and has more to an earned whatever wage rise he can get.

To me I think you HAVE TO persuade him to stay with us for next season

I’d
- give him a new long term contract that makes him our highest paid player.

This gives us some security and allows us to keep a player who’s absolutely critical to how we play and everything good we do.

We’d probably have to

  • include a release clause if we stay up - which protects us if he shines and allow us to sign a replacement if he shines and moves on.
  • a lower release clause if we go down that still affords us some protection but allows illiman to fulfil his potential if he shines if we go up but get relegated.

Something seems to have turned his head, he hasn’t played anywhere near his high standards in recent weeks, including yesterday.
