Now that we're in the Premier League, I'd rather we didn't have someone coming in with Millions or Billions, just someone to run the club properly, or should i say, continue running the club in the way that we are being run at the moment.

The owners have their dispute, but they are seemingly agreeing to an extent as there are funds being made available for transfers (record transfer broken last season and then again twice this season)

I really don't want us to become a Man City or a Chelsea, i like the way we are. So in terms of transfers, keep doing what we're doing, buy younger, hungry players from the Championship and surplus from Premier League Clubs. Rough diamonds that we can polish.

I'd also like the club to attract more Kids into our academy and develop them ourselves. We've had great success bringing on players like Michael Tonge, Jagielka, Brooks, where they came to us after being released elsewhere and of course the likes of Naughton and Walker are great examples of those able to come all the way through.

The great old club, as you call us, should remain that. No need to move to a new stadium, we love our ground and the pubs around by it. Just develop it to a 40k ground by doing the Kop and South Stand upgrades.

So it would be great to progress by spending the Premier League money well, trying to maintain our British and Irish squad and pushing as high as we can go.

Nailed it Swiss! I know plenty would sell out on tradition, history, values - everything for a sniff of big money and short term gain. Like you, I want to follow a club I can relate to, that’s been a big part of my life since my earliest memories. Some things can’t be bought.

Some things can’t be bought, and being the underdog is a special feeling for a football supporter, knocking mike Tyson out is a lovely feeling if you get my drift, being mike Tyson must be hard..

Real money stays at home and builds a stadium in the same spot.. like spurs.. nothing against city but lost your roots mate..

I went to Maine Road quite a few times when my then girlfriend lived in Manchester during the Mel Machin era. 40k crowds watching Division 2 football. I imagine there are a few City fans who look back with affection at watching the likes of Wayne 'Bobbins' Biggins and Imre Varadi, but probably not that many. In the same way, I'm hoping in years to come we can permit ourselves a wry smile that the likes of Porter once had cult hero status here.

Fans of old traditional clubs like ours want to keep it that way but also want success, not at any price of course but a very rich benefactor who is born and bred a blade, wants to keep all the traditions, ground, colours name etc but the chances are that will never happen.

However, if I was to wake in the morning and read we had been sold to a billionaire who seemed genuine how bloody excited would I be, the chance to really move on and establish ourselves as a top half premier league club, involved in winning things and attracting some top players, this may not suit everyone I know but providing the new owner wasn't going to change the ethos of the club then bring it on.

I have a good friend who lives locally who was born in Manchester some 70 odd years ago and is a big city fan, when city were being sold he wasn't happy about it for all the same reasons as some of our fans, I ask him now and again,usually after city have won the league or triumphs in Europe etc. how he feels now about it, you know regularly above man United and the rest, he smiles at me and says nowt!

Speaks volumes that smile with no comment. Enjoy the success and being top dog in the city, but at what cost to tradition? All the great things they have done on the football side, and in the local community are buried in the loss of the clubs home ground.
Priority for the blades is obviously to become a cornerstone of the premier league. To sustain that success needs serious investment in the academy and youth.
No problem with copying Spurs by bringing the Lane into the 21st century when the time is right.
I trust Wilder and Knill with the football side of the equation, and giving some input at academy level, but the academy needs to be almost a separate, stand alone function to sustain the future of the club.
Listen to a packed Bramall Lane in full cry with the greasy chip butty song, and it can stir the soul. Whatever else the money men want to do is ok with me, but that tradition and atmosphere must be preserved at all costs. Without it, there is no club and no real future for the game.
