I remember us being 8 points clear with 1 game in hand last year, look how that turned out.

Apologies if I'm wrong (I'm not the best historian) but I don't think that was ever the case.

im cautiously optimistic at the mo. really big win today, esp after the debacle away to stevenage, its been a long time since that game and the players heads could gone down.

being a blade all my life has taught me to expect the worst and hope for the best. the best thing is its in our hands, yes we've been here before but cmon lets believe we can do it and roar the team on to promotion! (sits down to avoid 'i have a dream speech'..........

I think he's right. We had a game on Wednesday when we played them at Hillsborough and were 8 clear at the time. If we had won both those games would've gone 14clear.

Hence the "mind the gap" statements which got rammed down our throats

On 25th February 2012 (the day before we played Wednesday) we were 5 points in front of them with 2 games in hand.

One game at a time. Today we had a good day and feel optimistic, Monday we might be talking about "the bastard blades" again. Really pleased we bounced back from the Stevenage debacle with a good performance and a clean sheet. The mega blades, blades.

Being a good catholic boy was out doing the stations of the cross today , so thats my end of the bargin done. Just up to the men in red & white and lads keep the peckers in the kecks this year eeh .

Im going to the states for 2 weeks on monday ,I hope when i come on here monday night i see the 'clappers' and not the 'realists' ,where are they tonight btw ?

she thinks im opening the pool and decorating ,whats the equivalent of yellow pages in western New york ?

It's the home form Sitters, that's the bugger. With Swindon and Brentford to come at home, some might have preferred playing away. You just hope we come good in these games....but the track record this season is garbage.

Historically I thought our record at home to these two was good but no doubt the Stattos will advise (que Silent/Pervy Blade).

A realist here mate, not been in from work all that long what with the 8 hour time difference so haven't had chance to read up on the game but I'm happy that we won and I don't give a shit if it was because of an own goal. Don't care how the points come, just keep getting them and get one of them automatic spots. I still don't think we're very good, we'll struggle if we do go up but I'm enjoying the moment today. A win is very much a win, and in a tough away game today's result was excellent.

If you're spending any time in the city, and fancy a pint, give us a shout

Dkc ,i doubt im venturing down to New York this time but if I do I will pm you on here. When i booked I was only going to miss Swindon but our flights got changed and the fixtures altered so end up missing Carlisle Swindon and Crawley ,and only just get back in time for Brentford (flight permitting). Dont know if i will spend the match time on here or just go out, they seem to do better when im not actively watching :)
Anyway give em a shout for me and expect to be top when I go to Pommpey .

A less god taunting way of looking at it is we are 2 points off an automatic spot with 3 games in hand.
The threat to me is Brentford, I think donny and swindon are capable of imploding, and moday would be nice to see them kick each other to death , and 4 sending offs

The funny thing is that had we gone to Stevenage an won 0-1 but got hammered at tranmere, we would be in the same position. The football gods are definitely playing with us.

Throughout the history of the blades, have we ever made use of our games in hand? Ever?!?

I'm doing my bit to help, getting as far away as possible!

No we wouldn't, as Tranmere would be3 points better off.

If we were going to win one, lose one, we did it the right way round...
