DW back in for them in January by the sounds. Wouldn't be at all surprised given McDonald's continuing injury problem and the potential loss of Squinny and Monty.

Depends how you interpret 'loss' Jim! 

Tribal Football.

Hmmmm

I agree about that Bob but DW was very keen on these two and was always going to try again, wasn't he?

If Hutton is anything like the player he is described as, he is just what we need.

Thing that concerns me is are they actually worth it? Lets face it none are uprooting any trees at the moment....

I dont much rate lads coming from the SPL (Stokes) Miccy mouse league, ill pass on the so called up and coming SPL Rooney, waste of money IMO

I'd rather look around for other options

Don't know enough about them tbh and you could argue that likes of Philliskirk and Flynn should be given a chance ahead of them. All I'm saying is that DW wanted them at the end of the last window so is likely to be in for them again.

Yeah I would like to see Philliskirk but it doesnt look like DW rates him and yeah I agree with that, i think DW will go for them again. I just dont think it will be worth the money but i'd like to be proven wrong.

In the Football League newspaper on Sunday Philliskirk was given a score of 2 out of 10 for his performance for Oxford United on Saturday. Not good.

Piece up on the Rangers website saying we're favourites again to sign Fleck on loan. Hutton also likely available. Wonder if our fax machine is working again...

JOHN FLECK is poised to reignite his Rangers career by going on loan next month with England his likely destination.

The 20-year-old midfielder has struggled to feature in Ally McCoist's plans in the first half of the season.

Now Fleck is poised to clinch a move down south with Sheffield United in the frame to take his services for the second half of the campaign.

The Blades tried to get Fleck in the summer transfer window and are understood to be interested in taking him in January.

The Yorkshire side are flying high in League One sitting in second place behind leaders Charlton.

Boss Ally McCoist said today: "I have had a chat with John and we both feel that it's really important that he gets games and starts to play regularly.

"If there is an opportunity for John to go out and play and it suits both us and him then that will be the case.

"There are maybe one or two we will look to put out on loan. Kyle Hutton, for example, was with Partick Thistle and that worked well for Kyle and Jackie McNamara so that is something we might look at again."

ive heard today Fleck is back on and almost certainly a done deal, might even be non loan deal so watch this space.

Munxy

Rangers are skint ........... off loading owt they can........ a sneaky low bid would overtake a loan deal.....they need the £££££'s.

Anyone with his own name as a tattoo isn't worth bringing to our great club.

I would imagine with Fleck joining Blackpool that would free up Clarke to come to us, considering they are similar players and Clarke doesn't even get a game now

Only three things in life mean you automatically a bell end.

1. Having a tattoo of your own name.
2. Over 1000 posts on Owlstalk.
3. Praising Monty.

Danny appears to think differently saying we are favourates to sign em.

I praise Monty when it's due. I am however not the kind of bellend that doesn't know the difference between "you" and "you're".:D

latest from the BBC:

"John Fleck is travelling to Sheffield United for signing talks, but Blackpool appear to be favourites to sign the Rangers forward on loan.

Both clubs have agreed a deal until the end of the season with Rangers.

And the 20-year-old Scotland Under-21 cap has already been in Blackpool to hold talks with the Championship club's manager, Ian Holloway.

Now Fleck is heading to speak to Danny Wilson, who will hope to persuade him to join League One's Blades.

It had looked like Fleck would join the Seasiders earlier this month, but an injury to Rangers striker Kyle Lafferty put the Scot's departure from Ibrox in doubt.

Fleck came off the bench to replace the Northern Ireland international in a 3-0 win over Motherwell and started the 4-0 victory over Arbroath in the Scottish Cup.

However, he was back as an unused substitute for Saturday's 2-1 win over St Johnstone, whose own striker, Francisco Sandaza, has become a target for the Glasgow club.

Now it looks like Rangers are willing to allow him to leave in the search of regular first-team football despite continued speculation about the future at Ibrox of Nikica Jelavic.

The Croatia striker has himself attracted interest from English clubs, including West Brom, although Rangers say there have been no cash bids and manager Ally McCoist stresses that he would not welcome any.

United, who lie second behind Charlton Athletic in League One, were thwarted in a bid for Fleck in the summer.

The registration of the versatile player, and Rangers midfielder Kyle Hutton, did not go through in time before the closure of the transfer window and the latter instead joined Partick Thistle on loan until the end of December.

Fleck could now prefer to help Blackpool, who sit ninth, three points adrift of sixth-top Hull City, chase a promotion play-off place in the league above. "

What are the odds Holloway rings up Wilson and says "ere, Danny me old mucker, i'll send Billy Clarke back for the season if you back off from Fleck!"

Odd's on in my opinion!

sooner have clark tbh. Know what we getting

reports saying he's joined Blackpool. I'd take Ince from them if we could for the rest of the season.

I thought that he had been sold from Liverpool. Was it a loan then? Wasn't Amoo at Bury the other day from L'pool. Why don't we try and get Stirling, their young teenage star winger for the rest of the season. All their fans rave about him plus Susoa center midfield player.
