Soft as shit. Poor defender.

Looks like someone who's played as a winger all his career.
 
We could do with a left winger....hang on a minute...ive just got an idea..
 
His nickname at Coventry was Hussey the Pussy! I can see why!
 
And what about Fleck? Meant to be the new playmaker, has done two good impressions of the invisible man so far.
 
A fair few of the Bury fans did say that in Hussey we had signed a league 2 defender and a championship wing back. That last part might be a bit debatable ;)

He has got a good free kick in him though.

He's not the only one who's not playing well though is he. I think Wilder needs to re-think the formation like Adkins did and maybe go 3-5-2 using Hussey as a wing back and move Basham back to defence and obviously sign a quality centre mid.

O'Connell deserves a mention too. Sloppy and statuesque. His fuck up killed us off.

Oh and Wilson. His shocking ability on the ball lead to their second. He should never be allowed to take a first touch.

I said it takes a bit longer to judge defensive players, and now we're seeing the weaknesses in all of them.

Hussey looked as though he has never played full back before I saw the warning signs Saturday yards away from his winger same as tonight absolutely powder puff and can't even do the basics right pissed off with him already

To be fair mate, even Iniesta would look wank if he had to play alongside Basham in the middle of the park.......
Plus don't forget a classic return to the age old tactic of bypassing the midfield.

I'm not defending his performances because so far I've only seen him play alright once so far this season, the other games have been in line with the rest of the team.

There is no doubt he has ability. It's about trying to use that and get someone decent alongside him to work with him as well.

Harris was better going forwards. In fact he was better at defending as well. Massive step backwards taken in the left back department this season.

Somebody mentione Fleck as well. I was surprised how nice it was to see Coutts come on and actually play crisp, well weighted passes to feet. I've missed that. Not necessarily missed Coutts, but missed players finding team mates with passes.

This is the worst team I've seen.

Fleck is a footballer, he doesn't like to see the ball fly over his head time and time again. The tactics are embarrassing and as I said in a thread a couple of days ago, there is no point in Fleck playing if we're just going to lump the ball forward, no wonder he's the invisible man, it's absolutely shite to watch and shite to play in when you're a decent footballer, sort it out CW and the board, this is wank.

I don't think Wilder can sort it out, I think he is way out of his depth. Cross between Weir and Adams.
 
Hussey’s display last night was one of the worst individual performances I’ve ever seen from a footballer. Can’t remember him doing one thing right defensively. Lost headers, failed to make tackles was at least partly at fault for 2 of the goals (was the third him or O Connell that got mugged? If him, then all 3 goals).


Going forward he managed to do a couple of decent things but offset this with that awful free kick about 10 yards wide when well placed to shoot and that pitiful side foot straight out of play for a goal kick after a decent move saw Coutts play him in down the wing. Then there was the awful mis-control that saw him take the ball out for a throw despite having about 3 attempts to trap it before it went out.


He reminds me of Jordan “not a left back” Stewart. Just needs to comically fall over his own feet when bombing down the wing to complete the impression.


I also see similarities with Wayne Quinn. Unfortunately, I mean Wayne Quinn during his second spell.
