We have made a terrible start to the season there’s no getting away from that. The performances in the last 2 matches have started to show some signs of improvement at least. The turnaround wasn’t going to be instant given how low confidence clearly was. I’m still confident that results will start to improve.

McBurnie is in the form of his life, the style of play at Hull City obviously suits him and he’s playing with a new found energy and enthusiasm, that has seen him score 6 goals in 8 games.

But you can’t rewrite history, his 5 years at Bramall Lane and 146 appearances produced just 26 goals averaging just over 5 a season, including penalties.

For a main striker, I’d have to agree that was pretty shit, tbf.
