It's learned advice. I worked in a bookies and watched people piss thousands away in a day. Despite this I still pissed away £20/30 a week which I couldn't really afford tbh.

The thing that makes these accas so tempting is that not one of the things in your bets is an unlikely outcome - if they all came true in some match one day, you wouldn't bat an eyelid (unlike, say, Leicester winning the prem), which makes the winnings look really generous.

When in fact of course the chances of all those mundane things coming true is very remote, but the list of likely things tricks people into thinking the returns are generous, which is why bookies love accas.
