and turn it into a side struggling to compete with a very average Bristol City.

Let's be honest they did have a bit of luck on one of their goals but that scoreline could have been very embarrassing.

Why are we not signing any quality players.

Why are we having to rely on players who are clearly not good enough.

Very worrying.

Bit of a hard argument to complain about dismantling a playoff team by arguing on relying on players not good enough, when those players are the reason we made playoffs

It’s early days though innit, one game doesn’t define the season (unless it’s the play off final of course 😭)

Think it’s clear we desperately need defenders in, but there’s time to address the (quite glaring) issues.

Don’t want to sound too much like a clapper (although I am one really) but there were spells in the game where I thought our attacking play was very promising, add in some reliable defenders to provide that solid base - and hopefully Soumaré is as good as we’re hoping and we’ve got plenty of talent to have a good season.

Gutting that match. We could easily have been 4-1 up ourselves at half time. First half they seemed to have two attacks and scored two goals after we’d laid siege to their goal but it just wouldn’t go in.

I’m not too worried at this point. I trust that served as a wake-up call to our new owners that money needs to be spent.

If they’re not willing to go for it I really can’t see the point of them buying us. Were they banking on us getting promoted for a quick profit or do they see us as a longer term project where they will have to invest in all areas of the club to increase its value and their return?

I think this season is their crossroads. Make the wrong decisions on which way to go and they’ll regret buying us. Get it right and the sky’s the limit.

This is the worrying thing for me - 2 attacks 2 goals. I think we all knew this style would leave us open so it was vital out attack was efficient and unfortunately it wasn't. Still a few weeks til the transfer window shuts and it's now obvious that we're weak defensively both at the back and in midfield so hopefully something will be done about that. If not, I'd be very worried about how this season will unfold...

the money well is empty

It would be lovely to know, wouldn’t it…

Those 2 attacks you mentioned wasnt anything to do with being left open, one was a well taken freekick, which came about from a stupid foul to give away (in worst place on pitch to give a freekick away) after not clearing the ball to start with and the 2nd attack bindon looked like he was running with lead boots on then decided to bizarrely let the attacker have the ball and run all way towards box and cross it, shocking & nieve defending from the lad, an rnd / Burrows just as bad for allowing a man their side to be unmarked and ball to get to him.

Also the style is perfectly fine & doesnt leave you open if you have the players with the required fitness levels to carry it out and pace in each postion and desire to get up and back when ball is overturned.

How can we already been in debt? We've literally got bought out in January.

Selling off all the quality players in the squad with a value.

Bringing in loans and kids.
