We have now lost Lopata - I can't understand why we've let him go when we have no direct cover for Egan in the squad.

Because he wouldn’t sign a contract and there are clear doubts as to if he’s going to ultimately be good enough. If Egan picks up a knock it’s the easiest role to backfill. Clark could do it, Anel could do it with Bash coming in to RCB. Even JLT could do it in a pinch. We’re fine.
Glad the club saw it the same way as my post. A big offer was too good to turn down, but no one was willing to pay over the odds for him.
