as sweaty as someone about to press the ‘emergency call’ button in a sauna, pre danger, wank fully dressed

We keep these lads, we’re onto something

We’re getting goals from defence, midfielder and attack - whilst not conceding

Get thi sen darn pit at Yorkshire mining museum tomorrow princey, no mobile signal pal - see ya at 11:01pm

We'll be fine.
Biggest concern is if someone triggers Berge's release clause, which I don't think they will.
If they do, it's out of our hands. Berge goes on to bigger and better things through his choice, and who could blame him. He's earned a shot at 'the big time'
I suspect we'll get offers that come close, but not sufficient to trigger his release....unless they get close enough like with 2 or 3 mill at which point the board might give in.

Why? They don't work anyway.
Because it’s one of the irritating nobhead things people say that was perhaps mildly amusing at best very the first time it was said about 20 years ago.

People trot it out as if they are a comedy genius. About as funny as ‘should of (sic) gone to specsavers’ which has actually never been funny. Ever.
That’s it.🤣

Other than potentially sending a few out on loan, I can't see us selling anyone, nor can I see us bringing anyone else in. I expect it to be a non-event for us.

Have confidence, no guarantees of course, but I believe in Hecky and the board that unless something we can't turn down appears we'll be OK 👌

hopefully yesterday ends the speculation. berge didnt want to leave & hecky didnt to lose him & why on earth would you want to leave.

but then horrendous ive been in football long enough to know. how quick things change & if the management & all the financial people. could all spend the next 24 hours here, with a answerphone message "nobody is for sale" i would be quite pleased

Transfer deadline day, tomorrow. Shut the window now. Stay strong Princey, protect this squad - you're on to something special.

How sweaty are we all feeling?
Not at all. No one is going to pay what we want for Berge and no one else would be of any interest to other clubs given what they’d have to pay. Who do people think clubs will be looking to sign from us?
January may be more of a challenge if form continues but if we’re in the promotion hunt I expect this board to reject all advances.

Even if Egan stays , who covers his absence through injury or suspension ?
I'd like us to loan a CB to cover for Egan.
I'd also like a mf on loan for 3 months to replace Fleck , as cover for Doyle coz I don't think McAtee suits that role.
With those 2 additions , we'll be set fair

Egan , Ndiaye , Anel & Berge will attract offers - we may never hear about them if they are rejected , but they'll definitely be made.

Very!
I've just finished pounding the missus so I'm drenched in sweat now.
My balls are definitely a bit sticky.

Also it's warm and we have the bloody window closed.

Not sure what impact that will have on tomorrow though? Lack of sleep perhaps that will mean my workrate etc will drop off tomorrow possibly I guess.

No chance any will be in the ball park we’d reasonably accept so they’re not genuine nor a risk.
Berge hasn’t consistently played well enough to have someone pay £20-25M. Love him, but he hasn’t.
Ndiaye would cost the same and has had one season and hasn’t been able to consistently play 90 mins so a huge outlay.
Anel - nope not at this stage but some will certainly be tracking him.
Egan -nope.
PL teams at this stage of the season are looking for first team starters and we don’t have them. Also if we fail to go up they’ll all be available at reduced levels, so why move now?

Any new bids coming through on deadline day is cuntish to the max. You'd think any outgoings now would be in the pipeline between the two clubs for a while.

Surely if a bid comes through come through now we can just time waste on getting paperwork sorted.

Only outgoing I'm picking is Osula on loan to Ipswich or Burton.

You’re “ pounding the missus” ! You’re a very naughty boy.

The most likely transfer out looks like being Egan (to Leeds). He is a very good player but prone to costly lapses of concentration and if it comes to it I would have thought the defence could be adapted to play well without him. Remember the game at Man U in Feb 2021 when Egan was suspended; we won 2-1 with Jags putting up a superb display in defence.

Thinking of this overnight and I've changed my position on one of those.
I think a big offer for Egan us a risk because normally we should accept as he's coming up to 30 and it's probably a time when we won't get that level of offer again for him. However, he's established, solid and a integral part of how solidly we've started the season. We do not have adequate cover for his starting role and a like for like level but this is where our manager, coaches and talent teams earn their corn.

After the first Premier League season there would have been collective outrage if we had cashed in on Enda if the Chelsea and other interested team rumours were true for good money. The same would have gone for Fleck. But in hindsight the rumoured £10-15m plus bid for either and we should have ripped their arms off.
The simple calculation which takes incredible skill to get right is, has Egan reached his peak, is the offer also at a peak level, and can we effectively immediately replace him at a like for like level.
I dismissed it out of hand as I genuinely didn't think anyone would be interested at a level that could afford us to consider, but if PL are really in for him then it's the one I could see happen. If Leeds are coming in with a bid nprthside of £12M then I think it should be seriously considered, but he has to be replaced because his leaving would mean we are significantly weaker and without adequate cover at the same level.

Egan, Can’t see it happening without us being able to bring in a replacement, so could go down to the wire

In that case, I don't suppose you know where I can get a Greasy Chip Butty ringtone from, do you? My last one is still in orbit with Simmo's playoff final penalty.

Looks like it's still only Brugge sniffing around Sander. I'm not sure he'd even want to go there if they met the release clause figure.

Yes, Champs League, but that's it. Step back for me to when he was at Genk, he's done that. He'd be better off staying, getting another few months of form in and wait for a move to a more high profile league in Jan.

We priced Leeds out.
We have now lost Lopata - I can't understand why we've let him go when we have no direct cover for Egan in the squad.
