Its cost us about 120k all in to get Dronfield Town FC into to NECL which is where you'd start. That does include effectively building a suitable ground from scratch though. We don't pay any players but running costs are still in the tens of thousands per season. (travel, officials, hospitality, insurances etc etc)
What and actually take some action? Don't be daft! Most of them would far rather sit here pissing and whinging about it, demanding McCabe just throws away his money, but won't actually come up with any idea to seek a resolution let alone a revolutionMaybe the knockers on here should be setting up a supporters trust to buy out the McCabe family.

I gave my two penneth the other day.
Reduce the selling price to £1 and throw the ground into the deal. However, make the proviso that once we are back in the Premier League the money now owed gets paid back at £10m per season for every season we are receiving Premiership money. This means a minimum of £50m (1 top flight and 4 parachute) and a maximum to be agreed.
This means someone (even a fans consortium) can come in with no debt worries and can invest in the playing side of the club and McCabe can sit back and support his beloved Blades knowing his family will be the main beneficiaries of our return to the top flight when we can actually afford it.
As the alternative is either sell for £50m now (to who?) or keep on "investing" (how much more?) it seems there is no easy way out that is acceptable to enough people to make it happen.

And there's sadly still some who will clap when we sell out top scorer at Christmas.
No shoes off were needed here - we just shouldn't have done it. Recognising that doesn't demand that you're an activist.

I think we've disagreed on this one on plenty of other threads, you thought it was a bad idea, I didn't and still don't believe that the reason for failure was Blackmans sale.
I do accept that the multiple players that were brought in to replace him and the lad we sent back to Man U have all failed (as well as the failure of the Man U lad, whose name I forget).
That said, there are few players in the side who've performed consistently at any point in the season
Firstly there is no such thing as a pro rata goal scorer. We had (pro rata) a 25 goal a season striker even after being shunted onto the wing, we were otherwise goal shy, and we sold him to the first bidder (even the player turned the first one down but "Hey, how can we stand it their way?").
I'm mistified as to why anyone would justify this or the bullshit excuse offered up by our owner - but that's another story - my point is that there were plenty who threw their dolly out at that point. That's just a vote for common sense, not a reeason to have to either hold your tongue or start a revolt.

Firstly there is no such thing as a pro rata goal scorer.
Secondly my reasoning was not to make excuses for the owner
Thirdly the first offer was a championship club, the second was a premier league club
Pro rata puts into context the rate at which he was scoring. We can just agree on the fact that he was our top scorer, Palace (2nd division), Sunderland and Reading (Premiership) wanted him. You can have your own reasoning of whay that's not good enough for us.
You do make excuses for the owner, constantly it seems to me. The groundwell of opinion against him isn't now from those who love to hate United, like Len or Micalijo - it's from (for example) fans who don't want to see our top scorer sold in the january window when we will have to pick up scraps to replace him. You have your own reasoning for justifying these actions.
The first offer was from palace in the 2nd division. Some of us still believe we can tell someone who only signed for us 4 months earlier, that they can wait until the summer and then we will allow them to leave (still less than 1 year in). Again, you have your own reasoning for justifying these actions, but it's not fair for you to swipe at those who are completely fucked off with the owner.

and relax!
Have a like for making me laugh. I can tell by your typing that you still haven't resolved your anger issues around this.
NB: I'm in total agreement by the way but reached your point of explosion long before and, therefore, this just made me shrug.

Yes, but as alco said, the player didn't. I just alluded to one potential reason why he accepted reading and not palace. And we accepted both.
Maybe the knockers on here should be setting up a supporters trust to buy out the McCabe family.
What league are sheffield FC playing in now?
I'm surprised they've never had any investment to be honest "worlds oldest football club". not many can match that claimIn a few years time they will be going past us and not on their team bus either.
