Because when he signed the old injury (if thats indeed what it was) won't have been apparent. I said during the summer that i didn't expect him to be fully fit until october. We have a very good medical team at United and they work very closely with the fitness and sports scientists. Wilder, Knill, the medical and fitness side staff will all have looked at each signing in detail and worked out what is needed to get them right. I don't think ched was ever going to be ready until october, this is a set back.Swiss, I respect your opinion on here, but I have to ask...if that is the case, why have we signed a player that can't play/shouldn't be playing more than a third of a match? In my opinion he's looked fucking awful every time he's come on the pitch for us.
But for me, we saw today the glimpses of the old ched, there was a lot more sharpness from him so his actual match fitness is getting there. I would guess though that he will struggle to be anywhere near fit next week unless he rests up all week
